Week 2 kicks off with a bang as the Washington Commanders (1-0) face the Green Bay Packers (1-0), in a battle of two of the NFC’s top contenders. Both teams feature plenty of star power, making names like Jayden Daniels, Jordan Love, Josh Jacobs and Terry McLaurin popular targets in NFL player props market.
I’ve compiled a list of my favorite Commanders vs Packers player prop bets for TNF below, so keep reading for the odds and the reasoning behind each pick.
Commanders vs Packers Player Props
I’m starting my Commanders vs Packers player props card with Daniels. The sophomore has a passing-yards prop of 228.5 yards, which is just a yard behind Love’s projection. Daniels has a higher completions O/U than Love, but is a slight underdog to throw two-plus TD passes.
I’m much more interested in Daniels’ legs than arm in this matchup, as I believe the Green Bay pass rush will be in his grill all night, forcing even more scrambles than usual.

Commanders vs Packers Player Prop Pick #1: Jayden Daniels Rushing Yards
The Packers have an ugly history versus dual threat QB’s. Jalen Hurts gave them fits last year, and Daniels has the capacity to do so as well. Daniels is one of the NFL’s top rushing quarterbacks, and he proved that again last week by going for 68 yards on 11 carries.
That result came against the Giants, who boast a threatening pass rush just like the Packers. Green Bay was top-seven in pressure rate in Week 1, and finished with the third most sacks. I expect Micah Parson’s snaps to increase tonight, which means Daniels will be flushed out of the pocket early and often.
Green Bay Packers Defensive Stats – Week 1
Daniels has cleared 45+ rushing yards in eight of his last 11 starts dating back to last season. Washington is a 3.5-point underdog in this contest, so game script should call for more drop backs, which will lead to more scrambling opportunities.
- Jayden Daniels Over 44.5 Rushing Yards (-114 at FanDuel); 1 unit
Commanders vs Packers Prop Pick #2: Romeo Doubs Receptions
One of the reasons Green Bay is a top Super Bowl odds contender, is due to their depth across the board. That’s especially true at pass catcher, where they alternate five receivers, and multiple tight ends.
That makes big games hard to come by for individual players, as they have to rely heavily on efficiency not volume. Romeo Doubs is no exception, as he drew only four targets in Week 1, catching two balls for 68 yards.
Dating back to last season, Doubs has 4+ receptions in only five of 15 games. Also working against him is that he lines up almost exclusively out wide, where he is much more likely to draw coverage from Marshon Lattimore, Washington’s top defensive back.
- Romeo Doubs Under 3.5 Receptions (-114 at FanDuel); 1 unit
Commanders vs Packers Touchdown Scorer Props
Moving over to the Commanders vs Packers touchdown scorer props, where Jacobs has by far the shortest odds to score at -210. A little further down the board we’ll find the ageless veteran Zach Ertz, and he’ll be my primary target to find the box.
Commanders vs Packers Anytime Touchdown Pick #3: Zach Ertz Anytime TD
Ertz ran a route on 81% of Daniels’ drop backs in Week 1, which was a top-12 mark among tight ends. He earned a 16.7% target share, finding the end zone along the way.
We already talked about the pressure Daniels will face, and a quarterback’s best friend under duress (besides his legs) is his safety valve tight end. Look for Ertz to draw plenty of targets tonight, especially in the red zone.
- Zach Ertz Anytime TD (+270 at FanDuel); 1 unit
