  • The final Broncos vs Seahawks injury report for the Week 1 MNF game is available
  • Broncos WR KJ Hamler (knee/hip) is listed as questionable for the game
  • Seahawks rookie running back Kenneth Walker II (hernia) is also questionable

As they ready to kick off the first MNF game of the NFL season, the final injury list for the Seattle Seahawks is longer than what the Denver Broncos are showing. However, when looking at which players are uncertain starters, it’s the Broncos who might be the team that’s really hurting.

One Denver starter – right inside linebacker Josey Jewell – is reporting as out, and three other players are listing as questionable starters. Only one Seattle starter, left guard Damien Lewis, is showing as questionable for the game.

Let’s take a look at the full Broncos vs Seahawks injury report below and how they could impact your Broncos vs Seahawks picks.

Denver Broncos Injury Report

The Broncos have issues at linebacker. Right inside linebacker Josey Jewell (calf) went from being limited in practice, to no practice at all on Friday or Saturday. Meanwhile, his injury status was changing from doubtful to out.

There’s more hope in the case of weak side linebacker Randy Gregory. He’s been limited in practice all week due to shoulder and knee ailments. However, his status is showing as questionable.

On the offensive side of the ball, right tackle Billy Turner (knee) has been limited in practice all week long. Wide receiver KJ Hamler, who is suffering from both hip and knee problems, has also been limited during practice throughout the week. Both of these players are listing as questionable.

The Broncos are expecting that both Gregory and Hamler will be good to go and playing on Monday night. Both are likely to be facing limitations in terms of play counts, however. Denver coach Nathaniel Hackett is insisting that Turner will be playing the whole game, unless he tells the coaching or medical staff otherwise.

Seattle Seahawks Injury Report

Seattle was hoping that former Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker III, the Seahawks’ second-round draft pick, would be contributing significantly to the club’s running game. That may still happening, but is looking unlikely for Week 1.

Walker underwent hernia surgery during the preseason. He hasn’t been practicing at all this week and is listing as questionable for the game against Denver.

Left guard Damien Lewis, nursing knee and ankle problems, was limited in practice all week long. It seems unlikely at this point that either Lewis or Walker will be factoring into Monday’s game.

The Seahawks are definitely going to be without long snapper Tyler Ott. He wasn’t practicing all week and the team is confirming him as out with a shoulder injury. In fact, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was revealing that Ott is going to undergo surgery and is likely going to be done for the year. The promotion of Cason Tinker from the practice squad to fill in for Ott was announced by the club.

Backup cornerback Artie Burns (groin) is doubtful and second-string edge rusher Alton Robinson (knee) is out.

How Could Injuries Affect Broncos vs Seahawks Betting Lines?

Nobody other than the most fanatic Seahawks fan might know his name, but anyone who doesn’t think Ott’s injury is a major concern wasn’t paying attention to Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals game. The Bengals lost long snapper Clark Harris to injury in that game.

Third-string tight end Mitchell Wilcox was the replacement for Harris. His bad snaps led to a blocked extra point and a missed 29-yard field goal as the Steelers upset the Bengals 23-20 in overtime.

Certainly, it’s something to be considered when assessing which way to bet the Denver vs Seattle picks. It might even be having an impact on any thoughts of a bet on Seattle kicker Jason Myers in the Broncos vs Seahawks player props. Maybe it’s a stretch, but Ott’s absence could also be playing a small role in the heavy moneyline and spread action on Denver in the Broncos vs Seahawks public betting splits.
