In NFL player futures, online sports betting sites are predicting a rebound season from Christian McCaffrey and a slight uptick in production from Aidan Hutchinson.

San Francisco 49ers RB McCaffrey is favored to lead the NFL in scrimmage yards at a betting line of +650. Meanwhile, Detroit Lions DE Hutchinson is pegged to collect at least 10 sacks entering his sophomore NFL campaign.

Both of these are among the best bets in the NFL player futures for the 2023 regular season.

Hutchinson Only Needs Slight Increase

The second player chosen in the 2022 NFL Draft, it didn’t take long for Hutchinson to be making his mark. In his second NFL game against the Washington Commanders, the Detroit DE bundled up three sacks.

This season, the Lions are being touted as favorites to win the NFC North in the NFL divisional odds, and Hutchinson is a big reason why this is so. He’s also getting some action in the NFL DPOY odds at a betting line of +2500.

Hutchinson is also +2500 to lead the NFL in sacks. He accounted for 9.5 sacks during his rookie campaign. Four of those sacks came in his last five games.

In 2023, FanDuel is offering a prop on Hutchinson to garner 10+ sacks. The odds are set at -112. He’s looked like a beast in preseason, so it would seem like that should be an easy reach for him.

McCaffrey Could Go Off With 49ers

About to start his first full season with the San Francisco 49ers, there is speculation that McCaffrey could be topping 1,000 yards in both rushing and receiving. He’s already done that in 2019, joining Marshall Faulk and Roger Craig as the only players to achieve this feat in NFL history.

He was 259 receiving yards away from doing it again last season. His 1,880 yards from scrimmage left McCaffrey third overall in the league.

McCaffrey gained 2,392 yards from scrimmage with the Carolina Panthers to lead the league in 2019. It was the third-highest yardage total from scrimmage ever compiled in an NFL campaign.

The only factors that could prove a hindrance to McCaffrey this season is that San Francisco is a much deeper squad than his old club, so he might not get as many touches. But now that he’s familiarized with the 49ers offensive scheme, McCaffrey figures to be even more explosive and dangerous.

It’s Allen’s Time to Shine

The triumvirate of Allen, Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes and Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow have all led their teams to the AFC Championship Game over the past three seasons. Only Allen hasn’t taken the next step and delivered to his team a Super Bowl appearance.

He’s also never won the NFL MVP. This could be the year Allen achieves both of these career objectives. Improvements made by Miami and the Jets mean that the Bills are going to face much more competition to emerge as AFC East champions this season than in past years. That will require them to step up their level of play.

At +700, Allen is offering some value in the NFL MVP odds. This season should be his time to shine in the spotlight.
