An AFC North slugfest wraps up a jam packed Sunday of NFL football action in Week 5. Last year’s AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals (2-2, 1-1 away) travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens (2-2, 0-2 home), with first place in the division on the line.

The Bengals mopped the floor with the Ravens twice last season, although Baltimore played extremely shorthanded in both meetings. The Ravens are much healthier for this matchup, while QB Lamar Jackson is back playing at an MVP level.

As of Sunday morning, both sides are seeing a similar amount of support in the NFL public betting trends, with Baltimore earning a greater percentage of the spread tickets, but Cincinnati drawing more ATS money.

Cincinnati vs Baltimore ATS Splits

The Ravens are drawing 56% of the ATS tickets at the moment, but those wagers only make up 48% of the spread handle. There’s a strong case that Baltimore should be undefeated entering this game, after they’ve blown two leads of at least 17 points over the last three weeks.

In Week 2, they had a 95-plus percent win probability against the Dolphins, but somehow managed to let a 21-point 4th quarter lead slip through their fingers. Last week, they raced out to a 20-3 lead over the Super Bowl favorite Bills, but couldn’t hold on and lost by three.

The Bengals meanwhile, have been slow starters in all but one of their four games, but have managed to cover in back-to-back outings. They enter play ranked 16th in total DVOA, while only Buffalo and the Eagles grade out higher per DVOA than the Ravens.

Bengals vs Ravens Game Total Betting Splits

Both of these teams rank top-13 in scoring, with Baltimore checking in at number three. Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews look like strong candidates for big games in the Bengals vs Ravens player props, but despite Baltimore’s offensive success this season, big money bettors are banking on this game underwhelming in the box score.

63% of the money that’s been wagered on the total so far is coming from just 26% of the over/under tickets. Big bettors are typically sharps, as they tend to wager much larger than the public, so be advised before firing on the over.

The Bengals have been an under bettors best friend through four weeks, as each of their contests have fallen below the total. Baltimore is 2-2 to the under, although their Week 4 contest against Buffalo that boasted the highest total of the day, fell 7.5 points below the number.

CIN vs BAL Moneyline Splits

The sharps appear to be leaning towards Cincinnati on the moneyline as well. Just 39% of the moneyline bets are making up 52% of the handle, and at least one of our very own experts is leaning that way in the Bengals vs Ravens picks.

Cincinnati appears to have escaped any serious injuries in the Bengals vs Ravens injury report, as Tee Higgins, who has outproduced Ja’Marr Chase in three straight games, declared himself good to go despite battling an ankle injury.

Baltimore won’t be so lucky, as the Ravens leading wide receiver Rashod Bateman is out with a foot injury. On a positive note, All-Pro left tackle Ronnie Stanley will be back protecting Jackson’s left side after sitting out the last 20 games.

Lamar Jackson is 5-2 all-time against Cincinnati, including 3-1 at home.
