  • It’s Game 7 for Winnipeg and St Louis on Sunday night at 7 pm ET at the Canada Life Center
  • The Presidents Trophy-winning Jets are 1.5-goal favorites in a series where the home team has won all six games
  • Below, see my Blues vs Jets prediction and picks, plus the STL vs WIN odds for Game 7

They are two of the most magic words in hockey: “Game Seven” and we get one Sunday night when Winnipeg (43-45-0 ATS) hosts St. Louis (51-37) in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

It’s just Winnipeg’s second Game 7 all-time in franchise history. St. Louis is 10-8 in Game 7s. I have been watching this series closely and have your prediction and look at the best odds for Game 7 in Winnipeg.

St Louis Blues vs Winnipeg Jets Start Time

This game is getting the primetime slot on multiple networks. The broadcast from Canada Life Center starts at 7 pm ET with puck drop usually about eight minutes later (remember they have to sing both anthems) so don’t expect puck-drop before about 7:08 pm ET and the festivities around Game 7s tend to push it even later.

Blues vs Jets Odds

Bet TypeSTL BluesWIN Jets
Puckline+1.5 (-205)-1.5 (+170)
Moneyline-155+130
TotalO 5.5 (+136)U 5.5 (-162)

The Blues are getting 1.5 goals tonight as underdogs but the juice on STL to keep the score within a goal is a hefty -205. The over/under goal total is 5.5 with the under heavily favored at -162. Five of the six games in this series have ticked the over.

Games this season at Canada Life Center are 16-26-2 over/under, that’s largely due to Hellebuyck, but more on him in a bit. St. Louis’ last 13 games have all been won by the home team. The Blues, however, are 0-7 against the puck line in their last seven games after a win.

This will be Winnipeg’s first NHL Game 7 at home (they had one back in their WHA days). St. Louis has outscored the Jets 23-17 this series.

If you’re playing moneyline for Game 7, the best return on St. Louis is +135 at Caesars and for Winnipeg you can get -154 at FanDuel.

Blues vs Jets Prediction for Game 7

Goaltending is a big part of any NHL playoff series and right now Winnipeg has a huge question mark in between the pipes, so I am predicting a Blues win.

Hellebuyck is a Vezina Trophy finalist, who allowed a league best 2.0 goals this season, but in the playoffs he looks shaky. He’s been pulled three times this series and his save percentage is .815. He will get a boost from the Winnipeg crowd, but you just know that if an early goal gets in for the Blues, it could get ugly.

Blues goalie Jordan Binnington hasn’t exactly been great this series (.897 save percentage) but he looks like a superstar compared to Hellebuyck.

It’s been a hard-hitting series with the two teams combining for 501 hits in the six games and the hits are almost exactly even. Cam Fowler (prop bet alert) has at least one point in the Blues last seven games and has 10 points this series.

There will be a great moment in the handshake line after the game when brothers Brayden Schenn (Blues) and Luke (Jets) meet up. You know one will be crying because his season is over. My prediction is it will be Luke.
