Essentially, they played Seattle’s game and gave the Kraken a taste of their own medicine. The Stars allowed the Kraken to attack so they could counter.
Seattle saw the rise of Jason Robertson to the Dallas box score as he racked up three points in Game 5. Now, it was probably the worst-case scenario as the Kraken allowed five goals in all.

This series turned right about the time the Dallas and Minnesota series turned last round. It is weird and uncanny.
However, does Seattle have one more kick left in them? Things looked bleak in round number one and then the Kraken took two straight from the defending champion Colorado Avalanche to advance.
Dallas played smart and allowed Seattle to get opportunities from mostly less dangerous areas on the ice. Dallas had far less shots but better scoring and high-danger chances (12-5) in Game 5. Yielding low-danger shots is beneficial for the Stars going forward. That bodes poorly if Seattle continues to be content there.
