  • The odds of Bernie Sanders winning the nomination have sunk to +1250. Will Sanders drop out of the race?
  • All of the results, odds, picks and predictions following the mini-Super Tuesday outcomes are assessed right here

A little over two weeks ago, Joe Biden was dead in the water. Today, the former Vice-President is moving full speed ahead. Biden has clear sailing when it comes to the 2020 Democratic Presidential nomination.

Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders is looking every bit like the Titanic. He’s sinking fast, and all hope appears to be lost.

Biden’s primary victories in Michigan, Missouri and Mississippi on what’s billed as mini-Super Tuesday moved him toward a clear path to the win in the Democratic nomination odds.

Sportsbooks moved Biden’s odds from -867 all the way to -2000.

2020 Democratic Presidential Nomination Odds

Candidate Odds
Joe Biden -2000
Bernie Sanders +1250
Hillary Clinton +2000
Michelle Obama +5000
Tulsi Gabbard +20000

Odds taken March 10th.

Meanwhile, Sanders was slumping from +663 all the way to +1250.

Michigan Flips For Biden

Michigan was the biggest prize to be had on Tuesday. There were 147 delegates up for grabs.

The state went for Biden  in a big way. After nearly 70% of ballots were counted, Biden was at 51.3%. Sanders was at 39.4%.

In 2016, Sanders edged Hillary Clinton in the Michigan primary. He won 49.68% to Clinton’s 48.26%. Clinton also lost Michigan to Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential election. It was the first time the Democrats had lost Michigan since 1988.

Democrats view Michigan as a vital swing state in the 2020 race for the Presidency. Biden’s win there only served to fortify the belief that he’s the best candidate to defeat Trump.

Big M Joe

Biden has swept the M states. He’s won primaries in Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Maine and Minnesota.

He was running away with Mississippi. Biden was at 81%, and Sanders is at 15%.

If Sanders were to fall below 15%, that outcome would be shutting him out of winning any statewide delegates.

Biden was so far ahead of Sanders in Missouri that networks were calling the race in his favor after just 1% of polls were reporting results.

There was another victory for Biden on Tuesday. He also gained the endorsement of former Democratic Presidential candidate Andrew Yang.

It’s a Deep Six Bern For Sanders

Several prominent Democrats were all but declaring the race for the nomination to be over. Two Democratic super PACs – American Bridge and Priorities USA – described Biden as the party’s nominee for President.

Well-known Democrat pundit James Carville called on Sanders to step aside. He thinks it’s time to let the party be laser focused on defeating Trump in November.

Clearly, Sanders is running out of allies as rapidly as he’s plummeting on the odds board. As recently as Feb. 12, across the leading sportsbooks Sanders was the +124 chalk to win the nomination. Biden was a distant +539. Bettors could’ve gotten a +1047 betting line on Biden in the middle of last month.

The momentum swung with Biden’s win in the South Carolina primary. His campaign has steamrolled Sanders ever since.

Biden was sounding very Presidential in his speech Tuesday. He extended an olive branch to Sanders supporters, saying that together they could bring down Trump.

Sanders declined to speak Tuesday. Supporters of the Vermont Senator were adamant that he’d be partaking in Sunday’s debate with Biden in Phoenix.

Sanders appears to be the only one left who isn’t realizing that this race is over.

If you hadn’t already bet Biden, it’s too late now to make it worth your while.
