The German giants won all six games in Group B while scoring 24 goals and conceding just five.
Their record included a 7-2 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur and a 6-0 hammering of Red Star Belgrade away from home.

Re-Run of 2012 UCL Final
The tie is a re-match of the 2012 UCL final which was won on penalties by Chelsea in Munich’s own Allianz Arena stadium.
Those odds reflect Bayern’s current impressive form but it means they don’t offer much value. The draw is the better value prospect at +275 rather than a Chelsea victory.
Chelsea finished second in Group H behind Valencia of Spain earlier this season.
The teams were level on 11 points but Valencia claimed top spot by virtue of the head-to-head record in their two meetings – the Spaniards having won 1 -0 in London and the sides drawing 2-2 in the return.

Normal service has been resumed in Germany’s Bundesliga with Bayern having re-claimed first place after a run of seven wins and one draw since their last defeat.
Frank Lampard’s Chelsea defeated Spurs 2-1 in a derby on Saturday to maintain fourth place in the English Premier League.
They have scored 30 times in that eight-game sequence- with the most recent win a 3-2 success at home against Paderborn last Friday.
Frank Lampard’s Chelsea defeated Spurs 2-1 in a derby on Saturday to maintain fourth place in the English Premier League.
That ended a run of four games without a win which had led to some media criticism of cult hero manager Lampard who is in his first season in charge of the team.

Lampard scored 211 goals in a glittering career at the club and was captain in the 2012 UCL final defeat of Bayern.
Polish Striker on Target Again
The German club will once again be buoyed by the extraordinary form of Polish international striker Robert Lewandowski.
He scored twice in the defeat of Paderborn to take his tally for the campaign to 25 goals in 23 Bundesliga appearances.
In the UCL, he has scored 10 times in five appearances this season.
Add three more in Germany’s Dfb Pokal Cup and his complete total of club goals in 2019-20 is a stunning 38 goals.
By contrast, Chelsea’s leading scorer is Tammy Abraham with 13 goals in the EPL, with two more in six appearances in the UCL.
The west London side’s campaign in Europe got off to a worrying start when they were beaten 1-0 at home by Valencia.
As well as the 2011 UCL final, Chelsea and Bayern met in the final of the UEFA Super Cup in 2013 with the Germans winning 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in Prague.
Subsequently, a 1-0 win away at last season’s semi-finalists Ajax and a 4-4 draw against them at home helped revitalize the team’s campaign before a 2-1 home Matchday Six win against Lille clinched their place in the knockout phase.

Their only other meeting came in the quarterfinal of the UCL in 2004-05.
Munich triumphed 3-2 in Germany but Chelsea progressed to the last four after a thrilling 4-2 return victory in London.
Last 16 Stumbling Block
Chelsea’s last three UCL campaigns have all ended at the last 16 stage.
Bayern were eliminated by English opposition at this stage last season when they were overcome by eventual winners Liverpool.
It was their earliest exit from the competition since 2011.
