  • The 21st matchday of the Premier League kicks off on Saturday and we are in store for a handful of great matches in what has been one of the strangest Premier League seasons in some time
  • Southampton and Aston Villa will go to battle in a fierce mid-table battle, while Liverpool look to finally build some form against a very strong West Ham side that has won four in a row
  • Towards the top of the Premier League table, Manchester United will look to shake off their loss to Sheffield against a rejuvenated Arsenal

This EPL season has truly had everything a fan can ask for. Clubs are constantly changing positions at the top, the league is full of talented sides, we have had stunning transfers and some even better goals to say the least. This weekend’s EPL Matchday 21 looks to be an extension of that as we move on from some really interesting midweek results. Manchester United dropped points to a Chris Wilder and company in only their second win of the Premier League season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool finally found their footing against Tottenham, a side they have got the better of for the seventh time in a row. They play West Ham this weekend, who have been a great surprise during this campaign. Nonetheless, the match everyone is excited for is Arsenal and Manchester United. Pierre-EmerickAubameyang is a doubt for that match due to personal reasons, but expect Arteta’s attack to threaten the Red Devils until the final minute.

Arsenal vs Manchester United Prediction

Starting off on Saturday at 12:30 EST in EPL Matchday 21, Arsenal host Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in London. Manchester United have not defeated or scored a goal against Arsenal in the EPL since 2018. However, the Gunners could be without Aubameyang, Emile Smith-Rowe, Kieran Tierney, Thomas Partey, Dani Ceballos and Pablo Mari as they all remain questionable. This leaves Arsenal with some suspect choices to make that could involve starting Willian or David Luiz.

Manchester United will definitely attack those weaknesses as they look to bounce back in this match. United have been quite improved this season thanks to the performances of Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes up front. Despite this, their defense is still shocking, a point that was reiterated to us in Sheffield’s second goal this week. Bakayo Saka is extremely dangerous up front for Arsenal and it is hard to tell if Harry Maguire will be able to keep up.

My Pick: Arsenal moneyline (+180)

Southampton vs Aston Villa Prediction

The next EPL Matchday 21 match to discuss is between Southampton and Aston Villa at the St. Mary’s Stadium. Firstly, Jack Grealish and Ollie Watkins have been sublime in the EPL this year. But, as their recent form has shown, it takes more than a few good players to see out an English top-flight season in the top half. Dean Smith’s side has only won one of four, and there seems to be no correlation between how good Grealish plays and the Villans actually winning.

Southampton, however, have won three out of their last five including wins at home to both Arsenal and Liverpool. The Saints have not dropped points to Aston Villa since 2013, and have scored 13 goals in their last four head-to-head matches. Given the moneyline, this is an easy choice in favor of Southampton.

My Pick: Southampton moneyline (+165)

West Ham vs Liverpool Prediction

The last EPL Matchday 21 match to review is between West Ham and Liverpool. The Reds have been dreadful away from home this year, and West Ham are on a stunning run of form. Nonetheless, ignore the poor results and look at Liverpool for simply what they are, a side looking to prove something.

They did exactly that with a win against Tottenham and with a makeshift defense of Jordan Henderson and Nat Phillips. This side has not rolled over yet and they still have the talent to see out some crucial results as the run-in quickly approaches.

My Pick: Liverpool moneyline (-134)
