The over 2.5 goals at -195 odds should offer value. The last match between these sides of course ended in a 2-1 scoreline and both do concede their fair amount of goals.

FC Cincinnati vs Toronto FC Prediction

Cincinnati has not exactly enjoyed the best start to the campaign, boasting a 3-5-1 record through nine outings. But, they finally broke out of their poor form with the full three points against a Toronto outfit who had yet to lose at BMO Field this term. After a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat to LAFC, Pat Noonan’s side responded with authority, marching into the Six and collecting their first-ever win on the road vs TFC.

Rookie Ian Murphy slotted home a pretty set piece from the visitors inside the box just before halftime then Luciano Acosta doubled the lead with a fine finish off a throw-in not long after the second half began. Toronto ultimately got one back, but Cincy held their own defensively and kept the hosts’ attack at bay.

After enjoying a four-game unbeaten run, Toronto FC has hit a bit of a cold spell, losing two in a row. On Matchday 8, they tasted a 5-4 defeat at the hands of NYCFC then dropped points at home on Saturday. Cincy definitely made their presence felt in this encounter, but TFC struggled to capitalize on their chances. The Reds controlled 66% of the ball and had 11 shots, but only three found the target.

More importantly, their backline is looking shaky. Toronto conceded five goals on only 11 attempts vs NYCFC then also had numerous vulnerable moments on Saturday. Cincinnati’s first goal was simply a lack of man-marking in the box, while the second frankly shouldn’t have happened altogether. TFC needs a bounce-back performance badly and there is no better time to do it than against the same team who beat them only a number of days ago.

FC Cincinnati vs Toronto FC Pick

Cincy has won just once in four games at home, also losing three times. For whatever reason, they fail to turn up at TQL Stadium. I also fully expect Toronto to learn from its mistakes and respond here. Take the visitors on the moneyline, it’s huge value.

Pick: Toronto FC +240
