- Tottenham thrashed Red Star Belgrade 5-0 in North London on October 22nd
- Spurs now visit the Serbian giants on November 6th in Belgrade
- Mauricio Pochettino’s side are -185 favorites in this Group B fixture
Harry Kane and Tottenham haven’t had the best start to this year’s campaign, especially in the Premier League, where they sit in 11th place with just 12 points through ten fixtures.
But they saw some array of hope for European competition when they downed Red Star Belgrade a week ago at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 5-0. The Spurs currently sit in second place in UCL Group B with four points through three matches, while Red Star has three points after their lone win on Matchday 2 over Olympiacos.

Tottenham | -1,(-113) | -185 | U 3,(-109) |

Tottenham was embarrassed by Bayern Munich on Matchday 2, 7-2, but managed to draw Olympiacos in mid-September before their convincing win over Red Star. Considering the teams in this group, Tottenham shouldn’t have any issue advancing alongside Bayern Munich to the round of 16, but a victory next week on the road is going to be extremely important.
By no surprise, the finalists from last year’s Champions League competition are clear-cut favorites to win next week’s clash at -185.
Tottenham Attack Continues to Find the Net
The Spurs have had no issue scoring goals this year in both domestic and European play. Harry Kane and company have scored 16 goals in ten Premier League matches and a whopping nine goals in just three UCL fixtures. They have lots of firepower in the final third, from Heung-Min Son to summer signee Tanguy Ndombele and of course, ruthless finisher Harry Kane.

One of the biggest reasons they’ve struggled this season is because of a lack of consistency from their backline. They allowed Bayern to score seven goals against them on home turf, with four of those tallies coming from Serge Gnabry.
Then in league play, Tottenham allowed three goals earlier this month to a relatively weak Brighton side. But as of late, their form is looking a whole lot better. The big win over Red Star was followed by a very good league match against Liverpool, where they lost just 2-1 after a questionable PK in the 75th minute for the Reds.

Red Star meanwhile is the class of Serbia by no surprise, with a 12-0-1 record through 13 matches. Their next two European fixtures are against Tottenham then Bayern Munich, so it’s going to be no easy task for the Serbs to advance to the round of 16 out of Group B. They could definitely win against Olympiacos on Matchday 6 in December, but they will need more than two wins against the Greek side if they want to advance in UCL competition.
Red Star Belgrade vs Tottenham Stats
1-0-2 | UCL Record (2019-20) | 1-1-1 |
3 | Goals scored | 9 |
9 | Goals conceded | 9 |
1 | Goals per game (UCL play) | 3 |
Tottenham a Safe Bet
Considering the result on October 22nd between these two teams where Tottenham ran riot on Red Star’s backline, we can expect a lot of the same. It may not be a 5-0 defeat, but the Spurs have too many dangerous players in the final third who are clinical at finishing.
Pick: Spurs win 4-1
