Italy’s Serie A Matchday 36 kicks off in midweek with a standalone match on Tuesday as Napoli hosts Udinese. The bulk of the fixture list will be played out on Wednesday with eight matches before Crotone versus Verona concludes the round on Thursday.

With just three rounds to go, there’s still plenty to be decided with Champions League, Europa League and relegation places to be finalized. Cagliari and Sassuolo have been some of the hottest sides in Serie A of late, while each of Verona, Spezia, Benevento and Parma are winless over the past five rounds.

Cagliari vs Fiorentina Prediction

Wednesday’s slate of matches in Serie A Matchday 36 kicks off at 12:30 pm EST with Cagliari hosting Fiorentina.

Cagliari was in action against another side facing relegation in Benevento on the weekend in a match which they pulled away in the second half with a 3-1 win. The three points put them three above Benevento for relegation.

With four wins and a draw, to go with 12 goals and seven conceded in their past five, Cagliari sits atop the form guide over the past five rounds. Only Sassuolo has equaled their 13 points during that time.

Sitting in mid-table purgatory, Fiorentina is still finishing the season strong at 2-2-1 in their past five themselves. They are undefeated in four and have scored in 11-straight. They’ve also conceded in each of those matches, save for Saturday’s 2-0 win over Lazio.

The past couple of matches have been close between the sides with Fiorentina winning 1-0 this season in January and the teams drawing 0-0 back in July. Both of those came in Florence. The previous two in Sardinia were won by Cagliari 5-2 and 2-1.

Cagliari is hot and has much more on the line and at home I see their strong form continuing with a couple of goals scored.

Pick: Cagliari Over 1.5 (+120)

Atalanta vs Benevento Prediction

Atalanta is looking to maintain second place overall while Benevento is running out of time to avoid relegation when the two meet at 2:45 pm EST on Wednesday.

With 72 points, Atalanta are sitting second, tied with Milan, two points above Napoli in fourth and just three above Juventus in fifth.

After the weekend’s 5-2 romp over Parma, Atalanta is now 11-3-1 (WDL) in their past 15 with their only defeat coming to champions Inter Milan.

Benevento had a huge match at home against Cagliari on the weekend, a side they were level with on points for the final relegation spot. While they kept things close early on 1-1 at the half, Cagliari took over in the second half. The Witches now have just three matches left, need points and need Cagliari to falter. After facing Atalanta, they’ll close the season at home to Crotone and on the road to Torino. If they are to pick up points, it’s much more likely to come in those games than it is to Atalanta which is in blistering form.

Benevento in contrast is 1-7-11 (WDL) in their past 19.

Back in January La Dea cruised to a 4-1 win over Benevento with four different goalscorers finding the back of the net. Atalanta have scored five goals in two of their past three matches and should have no problem filling the net once again against Benevento.

Pick: Atalanta Team Total Over 2.5 (-159) / Atalanta -2 (-130)

Sassuolo vs Juventus Prediction

Juventus will be looking to get back inside the top four Champions League places, while Sassuolo still has a shot at Europa when the two meet at 2:45 pm EST Wednesday afternoon in Serie A Matchday 36.

Juve’s hopes (and assumption) of a top-four finish are beginning to have very serious doubts. Battling with AC Milan on the weekend for one of the final spots, they fell flat in a 3-0 defeat.

All season, while they’ve usually won, it’s always been by the slightest of margins. And their defense has hardly been air-tight like the Juve teams of old. In fact, they’ve now conceded in 11-straight matches. It’s also not even just the top sides which they’ve conceded too, with sides like Udinese, Parma, Torino, Benevento and Genoa having scored on them.

Sassuolo has been playing freely and looks to be set to end the campaign on a high. They’re undefeated in six at 5-1-0 after the weekend’s 2-1 win over Genoa have scored in each of their past ten. but they’ve also conceded in 22 of their past 24.

Sassuolo has been effective in contributing to the scoresheet in their recent meetings with Juventus, but coming away with all three points, has been an elusive endeavor. Earlier this year Juventus won 3-1, while last season the teams drew both meetings 2-2 and 3-3. Sassuolo’s last win over Juventus came in March 2015, but since that time Juventus are 8-2-0 (WDL).

There’s so much on the line for both sides and neither has proved capable of keeping clean sheets meaning we should see plenty of goals.

Pick: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 (-125 at Bet365)
