The final game of the World Cup Round of 16 sees Switzerland face Colombia at BC Place in Vancouver on Tuesday, July 7, with kickoff set for 1:00 pm PT/4:00 pm ET.
Murat Yakin’s side leans on Johan Manzambi and Breel Embolo for finishing value, while Nestor Lorenzo’s Colombia offers transition upside through Luis Diaz and Daniel Munoz.
Largely due to Colombia’s low-scoring nature, the anytime goal props and assist markets feature some star players with long odds. The table below summarizes my three goalscorer picks and player props to bet.
Switzerland vs Colombia Goalscorer Picks & Player Props
Finding value in these player-prop markets requires targeting consistent finishers and mispriced paths to goal involvement. Johan Manzambi fits that profile best among the Swiss attackers available at traditional books. He leads his squad with three goals, making his +400 payout a standout play against a rigid defense.
Breel Embolo also belongs on the card at his Kalshi anytime-goal price. His 1+ assist contract at 11¢ is reasonable, but his penalty-box role and penalty equity make the 1+ goal contract at 23¢ the cleaner angle than paying 35¢ for goal-or-assist.
For Colombia, Daniel Munoz offers the best value through the 1+ goal or assist market at 17¢. His goal-only number is attractive at 9¢, and the goal-or-assist price adds a crossing/assist path for only a modest premium.
Breel Embolo Anytime Goalscorer (+335 / 23¢ at Kalshi)
For Swiss exposure, I find Breel Embolo offers a reliable path. This marks the 13th tournament appearance for the European side. While they reached the quarter-finals during earlier eras, this generation frequently stalls when opposition quality spikes.
Embolo has matched Manzambi’s playmaking with two assists and two goals. Crucially, Embolo adds set-piece duties, converting one penalty already. In a tight environment, dead-ball situations dictate the outcome. Switzerland relies on Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel as a reliable foundation to keep games close.
At traditional sportsbooks, Embolo sits at +240. Kalshi’s Yes 23¢ anytime-goal price is roughly a +335 equivalent before fees. The 11¢ assist price is playable, but the 35¢ goal-or-assist number is not enough of a discount compared with the higher-upside finishing angle.
Daniel Munoz 1+ Goal or Assist (+488 / 17¢ at Kalshi)
When these nations met at Stanford Stadium in 1994, Colombia walked away with a victory. That remains their only World Cup meeting in my records. Now, they meet under a knockout reality with no safety nets. Finding a defender with both scoring and assisting paths at a Yes 17¢ goal-or-assist price is rare.
Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz has netted two goals, and the updated Kalshi board also lists his 1+ assist price at 10¢. That matters because the defining question rests out wide. Will Bayern Munich forward Luis Diaz find enough grass to test Inter Milano defender Manuel Akanji? With Munoz overlapping on the right, Colombia can create value through either his late box arrivals or his service into Diaz and the central runners.
Colombia looks sharper than the vintage that recorded their famous victory over Greece years ago. They simply concede too few goals to give Yakin openings. The journey for the Swiss ends here, making Munoz’s expanded goal-or-assist upside the better way to attack Colombia’s right-sided pressure at the updated Kalshi price.
Johan Manzambi Anytime Goal Scorer (+400 at bet365)
SPORTSBOOK
Switzerland topped their opening bracket with seven points, moving past Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina before drawing Qatar. They most recently eliminated Algeria to secure progression. Johan Manzambi has been the driving force, registering three goals and two assists.
He stands alone as his team’s top scorer. I acknowledge the monumental challenge he faces. Nestor Lorenzo has quietly built a heavyweight squad that models give an 18.8% chance of winning this tournament. Colombia recently recorded consecutive shutouts against Ghana and Congo DR.
Making their seventh finals appearance, the South Americans concede too few goals to give Yakin easy openings. If the Swiss crack this airtight backline, I expect it will come through Manzambi. At +400, the implied probability supports this plus-money wager.
