Lorenzo Musetti vs Casper Ruud Prediction

This will be the first meeting between Musetti and Ruud. The two will take to the court at 6 am ET tomorrow morning, and will be the first match of the day.

Both players have breezed through their opponents early on in the tournament. As the third seed Ruud got a bye in the first round. After easily taking the first set, he was challenged a bit in the second set of his opening match against Richard Gasquet, which saw the set go to a few tiebreaks, but he managed to overcome it and win 6-1, 7(9)-6(7).

Musetti was the underdog heading into his opening match against Marin Cilic, but he upset him winning 6-4, 6-4.

Ruud is the slight favorite heading into the match, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. Despite having a couple early exits in his tournaments leading up to the Paris Masters, he has been playing well. But Musetti has the opportunity to upset again here, if he’s able to catch Ruud on his heels.

Best Bet: Lorenzo Musetti (+130)

Alex de Minaur vs Frances Tiafoe Prediction

It’s been a few years since these two have gone head-to-head, but this will be the third time de Minaur and Tiafoe will face each other in their career. Technically they faced each other in a qualifying match in 2017, but their first match on record was the US Open in 2018, and again in 2019. De Minaur won both of those matches, leading the head-to-head 2-0.

Tiafoe defeated Lorenzo Sonego and Jack Draper to earn his spot in the round of 16. He landed 60 percent of his first serves. When he landed those first serves, he won the point 81 percent of the time.

De Minaur has struggled a bit more than Tiafoe has this tournament. It’s taken the full three sets in both matches for the Australian to win, but he’s probably been tested more than his round of 16 opponent. To earn his spot, the 23-year old defeated fourth seed Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 2-6, 7-5.

Best Bet: De Minaur 2-0 (+150)

Holger Rune vs Andrey Rublev Prediction

Another round of 16 match is the first time meeting. Rune and Rublev have never played each other before. 19-year old Rune just turned pro in 2020, which might have something to do with it.

Rune entered the tournament coming of three consecutive final appearances. At the Sofia Open, Stockholm Open and most recently Swiss Indoors, Rune made incredible runs that earned his a well deserved spot in the final. He upset a handful of Top 10 players in all three tournaments.

He went and dropped the first set of his opening match here in Paris, but managed to come back to defeat Stan Wawrinka 4-6, -5, 7(7)-6(3). He continued to make a name for himself when he upset Hubert Hurkacz 7-5, 6-1, to earn a spot in the third round.

Rublev breezed past his one and only opponent so far in the tournament, defeated John Isner 6-2 ,6-2.

This should be an interesting match. Usually Rublev would be the easy bet here, but Rune is playing incredible tennis at the moment. Regardless of the winner here, look for it to go the distance.

Best Bet: Over 2.5 sets (+135)
