Due to a delayed start of the 2020-21 NHL season because of COVID-19, teams played a regular season of just 56 games. This changed the format of teams getting into the playoffs, along with the NHL Playoff odds.

With a rearranged format, there were no conferences and just four divisions (North, East, West, Central). The top four from each division made it to the postseason with a total of 16 teams.

The top seed played the fourth seed and the second seed played the third seed in their respective divisions. The winners of each series played in the second round. The four remaining teams from each division were then re-seeded and played the last two rounds.

The graphs below were generated by averaging the odds from reputable online sports betting sites.
