SK Sizzling Lately

SK’s impressive play started with a big win over defending champion Doosan, and was followed up with a sweep of Hanwha and now a victory over the league leaders. They have a +21 run differential during their winning streak, and have allowed three runs or less in three of five outings.

The offense, which struggled through the first three weeks of the season, has produced six runs or more in five straight, after reaching that total just four times in their first 19 games. They’ll square off against Sung Young Choi, who will be making his first start of the season. In four career seasons, he has 4.99 ERA and 1.55 WHIP, and is not someone the Wyverns will fear.

SK will counter with Geon Wook Lee, who held the Bears to a single run in 5.1 innings in his lone start of 2020.

Pick: SK Wyverns +1.5 (-135)

Giants Have a Lotte of Offensive Issues

We picked on the Lotte Giants on Tuesday, and they did not disappoint. They were beaten soundly by the Kia Tigers 7-2, failing to reach three runs for the sixth time in eight games. Their team batting average fell to .253, and only the last place Eagles have scored fewer runs.

The Giants have now lost five of six and things won’t get any easier on Wednesday. They’ll give the ball to Adrian Sampson, who lasted just 3.1 innings in his season debut last week.

Kia will counter with opening day starter Hyun Jong Yang, who was roughed up in his last outing, but prior to that allowed two runs or less in three consecutive games.

Pick: KIA -1.5 (+125)

Suwon Bounces Back Versus Bears

Tuesday was a major disappointment for KT Wiz backers. Ace Odrisamer Despaigne was roughed up for 10 runs in just five innings, en route to his first loss of the season. The Good news for Suwon fans? For the second game in a row, the offense produced in a major way. KT Wiz crossed the plate eight times and has now scored 20 runs in their last two outings.

They’ll have a great chance to keep that momentum going Wednesday, as they’ll square off against a struggling Yong Chan Lee. The 31-year-old has been awful in 2020, allowing 21 runs in four outings. His 8.72 ERA is the highest among qualified pitchers in the KBO this season, and he’s already been roughed up by the Suwon this season. Back on May 10th, KT Wiz lit him up for six runs in just six innings.

Pick: KT Wiz Suwon moneyline (-105)
