It’s a heavyweight hoops tilt on Monday (March 21) as the Heat visit the 76ers. Miami enters play with a 3.5-game lead over Philadelphia atop the Eastern Conference standings, and has reeled off 15 wins in its last 19 contests.
The Sixers meanwhile, fell to Toronto on Sunday which was just their fourth loss in the last 13 games. This is the fourth and final meeting of the season between the Heat and 76ers, and oddsmakers’ have pegged Philly as the chalk.

Miami Heat Betting Analysis
Miami last took the court on Friday, knocking off OKC 120-108. The Heat were without Jimmy Butler due to an ankle sprain, and were also missing Victor Oladipo thanks to back spasms.
Tyler Herro led the way with 26 points for the Heat, surviving an ankle scare of his own. Herro, the overwhelming favorite in the 2022 NBA Sixth Man of the Year odds, fell awkwardly in the third quarter, twisting his ankle, and needed to be helped to the locker room.
What looked like a potentially serious injury turned out to be a false alarm as Herro returned just over a minute later. He proceeded to play well into the final quarter and is not listed on the injury report.

Bam Adebayo chipped in 19 points versus the Thunder, while Kyle Lowry added 16. The Heat shot 48% from the field and 36% from three, building a lead as large as 29 at one point.
Miami has already locked up the Southeast Division title, which is a good thing since they face a daunting next couple weeks. Eight of their next 10 games are versus playoff-caliber opponents, a stretch that includes games against Golden State, Brooklyn, Boston and Chicago, in addition to their tilt with Philly.
Victor Oladipo (lower back spasms) and Gabe Vincent (big toe contusion) out tomorrow vs. 76ers.
Heat listing Jimmy Butler (ankle sprain) and Caleb Martin (hyperextended knee) as questionable.
Kyle Guy is back in the G League. But Javonte Smart remains with the Heat.

As far as Monday is concerned, Oladipo has already been ruled out, as has Gabe Vincent (toe). Butler is currently questionable with his ankle sprain, while Caleb Martin is also questionable with a knee injury.

Butler’s latest ankle sprain is the sixth he’s suffered since 2020 when he signed up to wear Dwyane Wade’s Li-Ning shoes. Prior to 2020, Butler had suffered just two ankle sprains over 10 seasons.
Philadelphia 76ers Betting Analysis
The 76ers blew a 16-point lead to the Raptors on Sunday, falling 93-88. Joel Embiid led the offense with 21 points, but was a dismal 6-for-20 from the field.
The current favorite in the 2022 NBA MVP odds has been dealing with tightness in his back and was questionable to play versus Toronto on Sunday prior to getting the green light. He won’t play versus the Heat, as the team just ruled him out at approximately 2pm ET on Monday.

Embiid had been active for 20 straight games, which is the third longest stretch of his career. He’s appeared in 49 of 51 games since returning from the health and safety protocols, so it shouldn’t shock anyone that he’s getting a night off.
Tyrese Maxey added 19 points for Philly against the Raps, while James Harden put up 17 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. The team shot just 41.1% from the field, and missed 20 of the 27 three’s they attempted.
Another shooting performance like that on Monday would be disastrous against the Heat, but then again Miami has had little trouble slowing down the Sixers’ offense this season.
Heat vs 76ers Pick
The Heat are 2-1 versus Philly this season, holding them to an average of just under 96 points per game. They’re 1-0 against the Sixers without Butler in the lineup, so even if Jimmy Buckets can’t go Miami still looks like a strong play.

The Heat are 22-13-1 against the spread on the road this season, including 11-5 ATS as an away dog. They should be well rested, while the loss of Embiid is a massive blow to Philly’s chances of winning this game.
