It hasn’t completely been a bed of roses for the Avalanche in this best-of-seven series. Number one netminder, Darcy Kuemper, left game three after being struck in the face with a stick in the first period. His status for game four is unknown as of press time, but Avs head coach Jared Bednar did leave the door open for Kuemper to be between the pipes in game four.

Nashville Predators Home Underdogs in Monday NHL Odds

There’s not much hope for the Preds at this point. It seems like they missed their best shot to make this a competitive series when they couldn’t capitalize on a 49 save performance from rookie Connor Ingram in game two and went down 2-1 in overtime.

As you’d expect the have the worst Western Conference odds of any team still playing and are becoming more and more of a long shot with each passing game.

Head Coach John Hynes rolled the dice at a crucial point in game three and his gamble failed to pay off. With the game tied 3-3 in the second, Hynes unsuccessfully challenged a Gabriel Landeskog goal that put Colorado up. The incorrect challenge gave the Avs a power play, where Nazem Kadri put them up 5-3, a deficit from which Nashville couldn’t battle back.
