FIU vs Penn State Prediction
- Pick: Penn State -41.5 (-110 at MGM)

Penn State comes into 2025 with massive expectations as the preseason No.2 team in the country. They opened the season with a 35-point blowout over Nevada.
Quarterback Drew Allar had an efficient game, throwing for 217 yards and a touchdown while both of Penn State’s stud running backs – Kaytron Allen and Nicholas Singleton – found the end zone. Syracuse transfer Trebor Pena and USC transfer Kyron Ware-Hudson combined for 13 catches for 163 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, Penn State is arguably more talented. Dani Dennis-Sutton opened the season with a sack and 2.5 tackles for loss, forcing two fumbles. AJ Harris and Zakee Wheatley anchor a top secondary. Even defensive tackle Zane Durant got in on the action, picking off a pass last week.
FIU also enters 1-0, clobbering Bethune-Cookman 42-9 last week. The Golden Panthers had a balanced attack, throwing for 233 yards and running for 223 yards. They scored six rushing touchdowns, including a pair from quarterback Keyone Jenkins. FIU is looking to win more than four games for the first time since 2019.
With this in mind, back Penn State to blow out FIU and make a case to be No.1 in the country come next week. Look for Allar to have an efficient game with healthy counting numbers to boost his Heisman candidacy. Allar is between +1600 and +2000 in Heisman odds. If you want to bet on Allar, take him +2000 at DraftKings.
