- I am backing Aaron Nola to record over 3.5 strikeouts based on historical splits
- Matt Olson is an elite fade for total bases amid his current slump in Phillies vs Braves player props
- Injuries to Atlanta’s pitching staff give the Phillies an edge in the Phillies vs Braves predictions
The Philadelphia Phillies (88-74) and Atlanta Braves (94-68) meet in a winner-take-all Game 3 of the National League Wild Card Series tonight at 8:00 pm ET at Truist Park in Atlanta. The winner advances to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL Division Series.
With Atlanta’s starting pitcher not yet announced – likely to be an opener/bullpen game – there is more uncertainty than usual surrounding Thursday’s MLB player props. Nonetheless, keep reading for my top Phillies vs Braves props to target.
Best Phillies vs Braves Player Props to Bet Today
When diving into the betting markets, identifying situational edges and historical consistency is my top priority. Based on profitable recent trends, I have narrowed down the board to three premier player prop predictions.
Aaron Nola Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-113/53¢ at Kalshi)
I am leading off with Aaron Nola to record at least four strikeouts. Oddsmakers set a modest bar, but I prefer the value at Kalshi, where 4+ strikeouts is priced at 53¢. Nola is an absolute model of consistency against this number.
Boasting an elite 184-to-52 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 171.1 innings in 2026, Nola has recorded 4+ strikeouts in 17 of his last 19 starts (89.5%) and in 28 of 33 starts overall (84.8%).
He has cleared this 3.5-strikeout line in 13 of his 16 road starts (81.3%) and in four of his last five starts against Atlanta, generating an 8.6 K/9 mark against a free-swinging Braves lineup in must-win conditions.
Matt Olson Under 1.5 Total Bases (-156/61¢ at Kalshi)
Before placing any wagers on the Atlanta side, you must acknowledge the slump currently plaguing their powerful first baseman. His slash line has tanked recently, making him a prime fade candidate. I am grabbing No 61¢ for 2+ total bases on Kalshi, which translates to massive value on the under.
Olson has stayed under 1.5 total bases in each of his last six games (0-for-6 vs. 1.5 TB), managing just two singles with five strikeouts across 20 at-bats (.100 AVG). He has also gone under 1.5 total bases in four of his last five home games at Truist Park and is 1-for-8 with zero extra-base hits through the first two games of this Wild Card series.
Facing Aaron Nola’s decent command, Olson’s cold stretch makes the under an essential play.
Mauricio Dubón Over 1.5 Total Bases (+178/36¢ at Polymarket)
If you want a lucrative plus-money opportunity, look at Atlanta outfielder Mauricio Dubón. I am taking the Over 1.5 total bases at 36¢ (+178) at Polymarket or, if you don’t have access to Polymarket, +165 via bet365.
While others focus on the superstars, Dubón has quietly become an extra-base machine and Atlanta’s most-reliable contact bat. He has cleared 1.5 total bases in five of his last six games overall (83.3%) and in four consecutive home games at Truist Park, collecting nine hits and averaging 2.0 total bases per game during this home stand.
Having tallied multiple bases in both Games 1 and 2 of this series (3-for-9 with a double), offering near 2-to-1 odds on Dubón is mathematically incorrect.

Kyle Schwarber tops the MLB home run props market with +284 odds to go deep. Ronald Acuna Jr and Bryce Harper offer intriguing power numbers as well. Acuna Jr is heavily favored to record a base hit, making him an anchor candidate.
Meanwhile, Harper provides a plus-money opportunity in the total bases market. Claim your bet365 bonus now to shop for the best prices on these premier sluggers.

Nola’s strikeout line is modest, with the Over favored. Bettors expecting a short leash should note his total outs are set at just 11.5. Nola is favored to stay under 1.5 earned runs, suggesting oddsmakers see an early but clean exit. If you are looking at Raymond Kerr’s out props, the books expect a couple of innings, placing heavy juice on the over.
Key Player Betting Trends
- Bryce Harper (Hits & Total Bases): Harper has gone over 0.5 hits in 12 of his last 15 road games. He is also 4-1 (80%) versus a total bases line of 1.5 in his last five matchups against Atlanta.
- Kyle Schwarber (Total Bases): Schwarber has failed to exceed 1.5 total bases in 11 of his last 15 games on the road (27% cover rate), though he boasts a three-game hit streak against the Braves.
Batter vs Pitcher Matchups for PHI/ATL Game 3
Because Atlanta has yet to announce their starting pitcher, specific batter vs pitcher statistics for Philadelphia are currently unavailable.
Atlanta Braves Batters vs Aaron Nola
Acuna Jr and Austin Riley have enjoyed tremendous success against Nola over massive sample sizes. Each tallied 12 extra-base hits while batting .354 and .343, respectively. Olson is another highly appealing target for power props, launching five home runs in 43 career at-bats against the right-hander.
On the other hand, Sean Murphy and Michael Harris II have struggled to reach base against Nola. They combine for 18 strikeouts, making them strong fade candidates in the hits and total bases markets.
Truist Park Ballpark Factors
Truist Park has played as a neutral environment throughout the regular season. Understanding how the venue impacts offensive production is crucial for evaluating props.
- Runs per Game: 8.68 (Ranks 17th in MLB)
- Hits per Game: 16.77
- Home Runs per Game: 2.46
- Extra-Base Hits per Game: 5.58
Sitting 17th overall in runs scored per game, this stadium does not drastically favor hitters or pitchers. It provides a fair environment that rewards genuine power without inflating cheap home runs.
From an analytical standpoint, this means you should weigh batter vs pitcher histories heavily. Backing sluggers like Olson or Harper will not yield a significant ballpark boost, but they also bypass a suppressed run-scoring environment. The forecast calls for a warm 82°F with a light 3 mph northeast wind, which should barely impact the MLB weather report.
Phillies vs Braves Injuries
The glaring takeaway from the injury reports is the absolute devastation of Atlanta’s starting rotation. Missing their ace in Spencer Strider, alongside regular starters Reynaldo Lopez and Bryce Elder, leaves them devoid of reliable depth. This explains why they are relying on unproven spot-starters or a taxing bullpen game. From a betting perspective, this limits their ability to control the game early.
Philadelphia’s starting pitching remains intact, but their outfield has taken notable hits. Adolis Garcia is shelved with a lat tear, removing a potent run-producing threat. However, given the dire state of Atlanta’s pitching staff, the remaining sluggers should have plenty of opportunities to capitalize.
