Ole Miss vs Texas Early Odds

The Ole Miss vs Texas odds have the Longhorns laying three at home with a 53.5 total. Texas is -155 on the moneyline and Ole Miss comes back at +130.

Texas is favored despite a second straight 27-24 loss, this one at home to Florida after leading 17-3. Arch Manning went 14 of 20 for 173 yards and a touchdown.

Ole Miss arrives off a 31-3 win over Missouri. Trinidad Chambliss threw for 241 yards and three scores and ran for another. A flat three is the key number here, so a Texas field-goal win pushes.

Indiana vs Michigan Opening Odds

The Indiana vs Michigan odds opened with the Hoosiers favored by 8.5 points and the total at 43.5. Indiana is -345 on the moneyline, with Michigan at +275.

Michigan beat Penn State 21-18 on Saturday. Before that it lost 20-19 to Iowa and 20-14 to Minnesota, which is three straight games decided by a single score.

Indiana fell to 6-1 with a 19-15 loss to Ohio State. Josh Hoover went 20 of 40 for 296 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions, and the Hoosiers outgained the Buckeyes 369 to 313.

Indiana lost two fumbles and missed two field goals in the four-point defeat. The 43.5-point Indiana vs Michigan total is among the lowest opening totals for Week 8.

Pitt vs Miami Opening Line

The Pitt vs Miami line opened with the Hurricanes laying 24.5 points at noon ET Saturday. The total is 53.5, and Miami is the biggest favorite among the posted Week 8 opening lines.

Pitt quarterback Mason Heintschel’s season ended with a torn ACL in his right knee against Virginia Tech two weeks ago. True freshman Corey Dailey made his first career start Saturday and finished 11 of 25 for 193 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions, a line that makes covering a number this size harder for the Panthers.

Pitt still led Boston College 12-0 before losing 27-21, a second straight defeat after a 21-17 loss to North Carolina. The Panthers are 5-2 and 2-2 in the ACC.

Miami is 6-0 and 4-0 in the ACC after a 43-35 double overtime win over Florida State. Darian Mensah threw for 326 yards and three scores on 23 of 34, and Malachi Toney caught 11 passes for 154 yards. Miami needed two extra periods against its rival; covering 24.5 requires a much more comfortable win.

Iowa vs Minnesota Spread

Iowa is a 4.5-point road favorite with a 42.5 total, the lowest on the opening Week 8 board. Results against Michigan and Washington offer a useful comparison for the Iowa vs Minnesota spread.

Both have beaten Michigan. Iowa won 20-19 in Ann Arbor on Sept. 26 and Minnesota took a 20-14 home win on Oct. 3. Both also handled Washington, Iowa 41-24 and Minnesota 27-24 on the road.

Iowa is 5-1 coming off a bye, with its only loss a 31-14 home defeat to Ohio State. Minnesota is 4-2 and was beaten 41-13 at Purdue on Oct. 10.

BYU vs UCF Odds & Other Week 8 Betting Lines

BYU is 6-0 after beating Notre Dame 28-24 in Provo, with Bear Bachmeier throwing for 224 yards and a touchdown, running for two more and catching one. The BYU vs UCF opening odds have the Cougars laying 7.5 points on the road with a 45.5 total.

Virginia Tech is a 1.5-point favorite at Clemson, the shortest opening Week 8 spread. USC is favored by 2.5 at Wisconsin, while Tennessee is laying 3.5 at South Carolina.

The week starts Tuesday with Middle Tennessee at FIU and South Alabama at Marshall, which carries a 62.5 total, the highest on the opening board. New Mexico State at Sam Houston follows Wednesday and Liberty at Kennesaw State goes Thursday.
