Can Baker Mayfield cook up another holiday treat for the Los Angeles Rams in the Week 15 MNF game against the Green Bay Packers? Â Thanks to injuries to Rams quarterbacks John Wolford and Matthew Stafford, he’ll be getting that opportunity on a starting basis.
Last week on TNF, Mayfield came off the bench to rally the Rams to victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in his debut for the team.
Surprisingly, for a game so late into the season, there isn’t a long list of injured players to report. However, there are a couple of key absences.
The Rams will be playing without RDE Aaron Donald. The three-time NFL DPOY is out with a knee injury. Oddly enough, the guy who’d normally draw the assignment of blocking Donald, Packers LT David Bakhtiari (knee) is also out.
Green Bay is set as a 7.5-point home favorite over Los Angeles. The Packers are 4-0 straight up and against the spread in the last four home games against the Rams in the NFL odds.
Kickoff at Lambeau Field is set for 8:15 pm ET on Monday, December 19. ESPN will be broadcasting the game.

The Rams vs Packers public betting splits are showing that there’s heavy spread and moneyline handle action on Green Bay.
Los Angeles Rams Injury Report
Donald’s absence for the second successive game is adding another key name to the Los Angeles injury list in the Rams vs Packers picks. Along with Stafford, wide receivers Cooper Kupp, Allen Robinson JJ Koski and Jacob Harris are also on IR, as is OL Joe Noteboom. Defensively, DL A’Shawn Robinson and S Jordan Fuller are starters who are on IR.
Along with Donald, four reserves have been ruled out of the MNF game. They include QB Wolford (neck), LDE Marquise Copeland (ankle), CB David Long Jr (groin) and LB Travin Howard (hip).
Starting center Brian Allen is questionable due to a knee injury.
Green Bay Packers Injury Report
Bakhtiari has been in and out of the Green Bay lineup throughout the 2022 NFL season. He’s missed four games already, including the 28-19 win over the Chicago Bears two weeks ago. Bakhtiari has played less than 50% of offensive snaps in four other Packers games.
The bye week worked wonders in Green Bay. Amazingly, Bakhtiari is the only Packers starter given an injury designation for this game. Of course, that’s not counting players who’ve gone on IR in previous weeks, such as SLB Rashan Gary and CB Eric Stokes.
Backup guard Sean Rhyan is under NFL suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances.
How Could Injuries Affect Rams vs Packers Lines?
Those considering a play on the Rams vs Packers player props will want to know that Green Bay WR Romeo Doubs is back after missing the Bears game due to an ankle injury. He’s been a full participant in practice this week. In breaking news for the Packers, there are published reports that the club is releasing veteran WR Sammy Watkins.

As well, Green Bay RB Aaron Jones (ankle) limited all week in practice, is showing no injury designation the final injury report for this game.
Zach Tom will get the start at LT for the Packers in place of the ailing Bakhtiari. He’s already started three games this season.
Rams HC Sean McVay said DL Marquise Copeland (ankle), DL Aaron Donald (ankle), LB Travin Howard (hip), CB David Long Jr. (groin) and QB John Wolford (neck) are OUT for Monday Night Football against the Packers.
C Brian Allen (knee) will be questionable.

For the Rams, starting LILBÂ Ernest Jones (hip) is cleared of any injury concern, as are starting WLB Leonard Floyd (illness) and starting LT Ty Nsekhe (hip).
Copeland started last week’s game against the Raiders as the Rams opted to go with four down linemen in their defensive front. Michael Hoecht will be stepping into Donald’s spot on the defensive line.
