Aliens vs Triplets Pick
Joe Johnson wasted little time establishing himself as the MVP favorite, which would be his third straight crown as the BIG3’s best.
Even with his outside shot failing to cook (going just 5-for-17 everywhere outside the paint), he still topped all scorers in Week 1, pouring in 30 points, while adding eight boards and two dimes, as Triplets bested Trilogy 51-45.

Jeremy Pargo was the only other Triplet to break double-digit scoring, with 16, and he also drilled his first 4-pointer on the campaign.
They’re up against a newly-formed Aliens squad, who looked impressive in their 52-44 win over Enemies in Week 1.
The Aliens feature a trio of European stars that cut their teeth while playing on the FIBA 3×3 circuit: captain Dusan Bulut, and co-captains Karlis Lasmanis and Tomislav Ivosev.

With Ivosev missing the game with visa issues, his teammates picked up the slack. Bulut poured in 22 points and seven boards, while drilling four three-pointers. Lasmanis was also a do-it-all, pouring in 18 points and five boards, while hitting three triples too.
Like we did last week, though, we’ll stick with Johnson to get the Triplets a win.
Pick: Triplets -3.5 (-114)
3’s Company vs Tri State Pick
Talk about breathing new life into a franchise. That’s exactly what Michael Beasley is doing with 3’s company.
The BIG3 rookie, but longtime NBA reserve, shined bright in Week 1, going toe-to-toe with fellow newcomer Gerald Green, with 3’s Company putting up a 50-47 win.
Michael Beasley dropped 26 points in his BIG3 debut on Saturday.

Beasley was a beast, putting up 26 points and four boards, while drilling two 4-point bombs. There were all of five 4-pointers hit opening weekend.
3’s Company matches up with Tri-State Saturday, who are hoping Jason Richardson is back in the lineup after missing Week 1 due to COVID protocols. He was sorely missed, as Tri-State was easily handled by Power in a 50-35 romp.
Justin Dentmon was the team’s leading scorer, putting up 13 points and three boards, with DaJuan Summers chipping in 11.
Pick: 3’s Company -4 (-114)
Power vs 3 Headed Monsters Pick
Power got a shot of youth and talent to their roster this offseason, and it showed with a dominating win over 3’s Company in Week 1.
Glen Rice Jr, the first overall pick in this summer’s draft, lived up to his to billing, pouring in 23 points and adding six rebounds, including three triples.

The Power’s second-round pick, TJ Cline — son of head coach Nancy Lieberman — also shined in the opener, dropping 16 points, including the game-clinching triple.
After a relatively easy win to start things off, Power face off with the 3 Headed Monsters, who went down to the wire in a 53-50 loss to the Ghost Ballers.

Kevin Murphy led all scorers with 28, including a 4-pointer to give them a 50-49 lead. But down 51-50, he was blocked on their last possession, with the ball falling to Darnell Johnson for an easy putback clincher. Rashard Lewis chipped in 18 in the loss.
As nice as Power’s debut was, look for the ‘Monsters to square up their record in Week 2.
Pick: 3-Headed Monsters PK (-115)
