One of the most intriguing games of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals has FC Barcelona hosting Atletico Madrid this Tuesday at 14:45 PM ET, at the Nou Camp, in the first leg of the series.

These two teams are fighting, along Real Madrid, for the Spanish La Liga title; Atletico has 76 points after 31 match-days, Barcelona is second one point away and the merengues are third.

“Barcelona is in top shape. They are used to these kinds of matches. The match will be very difficult. The two teams meet in a great moment. I expect the best Barcelona, they will want to settle it here, in their home stadium and not wait for the return leg. If we say we are favorites, they will say that we are arrogant. If not, they will say that we are underdogs. What is certain is that we are going to compete and that it will be a beautiful tie”, said Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone.

The last time Barcelona lost a match in the Champions League quarter finals was on April 2003. However, Atletico Madrid has won three of the four away games in the competition this season.

The secret of the game will be to match Atletico in intensity so that they don’t overcome us, and our biggest strength will be to play like Barca always do”, said Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino.

Barcelona is listed -210 to win this first leg, Atletico Madrid is +550 and the draw is +325.
