The No. 3 Miami Hurricanes (5-0) return to Hard Rock Stadium for a rivalry clash with Florida State, with kickoff set for 7:00 PM ET (4:00 PM PT). Miami is coming off a bye after dismantling Clemson 41-13 on the road on October 3.

Florida State is trying to stop the bleeding after a 44-20 loss to Louisville last week. The unranked Seminoles are desperate to flip the script and play spoiler against their bitter in-state rival.

Below, I lay out my Florida State vs Miami prediction, two additional picks and the latest Kalshi prices. If you want to compare platforms, our guide to prediction market apps covers the options.

Florida State vs Miami Prediction

  • Pick: Miami Moneyline (93¢ on Kalshi)

The central statistical gap is offensive production. Miami is a National Championship odds contender averaging 49.2 points and 554.8 total yards per game, while Florida State is averaging 30.7 points and 409.5 yards. That difference gives the Hurricanes plenty of margin for error in this Florida State vs Miami matchup.

Turnovers reinforce the edge. Florida State has committed eight turnovers and carries a -4 differential, while Miami has given the ball away just three times and owns a +4 differential. If those trends continue, Miami should have more possessions and better field position to turn into points.

At 93¢, a winning Miami moneyline contract returns just 7¢ of profit before fees, so I’m looking to the Hurricanes against the spread, expecting a comfortable win at home.

Florida State vs Miami Picks

Florida State vs Miami Pick #1: Miami -20.5

  • Pick: Miami -20.5 (52¢ on Kalshi)

Miami (FL) wins by over 20.5 points
52%

Miami’s scoring profile and Florida State’s ball-security issues support laying the big number. The Hurricanes are producing 145.3 more yards per game than the Seminoles while also holding the turnover-differential advantage.

Miami also converts 51.1% of its third downs compared to Florida State’s 42.3%, which should let the Hurricanes sustain drives and pull away in the second half. At 52¢, I like Miami to win by more than 20.5 points.

Florida State vs Miami Pick #2: Over 56.5

  • Pick: Over 56.5 (50¢ on Kalshi)

Over 56.5 points

These teams combine for 79.9 points per game based on their season averages, comfortably above this 56.5 total. Miami supplies most of that production led by Heisman Trophy odds contender Darian Mensah, but Florida State has been efficient when it reaches scoring range.

The Seminoles have converted 95.8% of their red-zone trips and are a perfect 6-for-6 on field goals, while Miami sits at 91.7% in the red zone. With both offenses finishing drives, I like the Over 56.5 at 50¢ in this Florida State vs Miami rivalry.

Florida State’s red-zone rate shows the Seminoles can capitalize when they reach scoring range, which matters for the total. Still, Miami owns the broader edge in scoring, yardage, third-down efficiency and ball security, all of which point toward the Hurricanes dictating this game.

Kalshi contracts are priced in cents, and a winning contract pays $1. Miami’s 93¢ moneyline signals a heavy favorite, while the Miami -20.5 contract at 52¢ and the Over 56.5 at 50¢ sit near coin-flip prices. The opposing No contracts at 49¢ and 51¢ show how tightly the market is split on the margin and the total.

Before locking in, compare these prices with traditional sportsbook college football odds to make sure you are getting the best number on this Florida State vs Miami rivalry.
