  • Nebraska’s ground-and-pound attack meets an Oregon defensive front giving up just 118.4 rushing yards per game
  • Turnover margins loom large after the Ducks surrendered the football seven times in their recent loss to UCLA
  • Oregon has yet to confirm its starting quarterback, so read below for my Nebraska vs Oregon picks and the latest spread

The Nebraska Cornhuskers (5-1) travel to Eugene to face the Oregon Ducks (3-2) under the lights at Autzen Stadium. Kickoff is set for October 17 at 11:00 PM ET (8:00 PM PT) on FOX. Both squads are looking to bounce back from stinging one-score defeats last weekend.

The Huskers dropped a gritty 20-17 home battle to an undefeated Indiana squad in Lincoln. The Ducks suffered a shocking 17-15 home upset to UCLA. Oregon completely unraveled with seven giveaways and managed just 272 total yards in the defeat.

Dante Moore is listed out on the official Big Ten availability report, and Oregon has not confirmed whether former Nebraska starter Dylan Raiola or Brock Thomas will start. Below are my Nebraska vs Oregon prediction, picks and latest spread for the Saturday CFB finale.

Nebraska vs Oregon Prediction

  • Pick: Oregon Moneyline (70¢ on Kalshi)

Kalshi
Oregon
70%

Let us start with the outright winner market. Oregon is priced at 70¢ to win on Kalshi, roughly -233 in American odds before fees. Even with last week’s meltdown, my Nebraska vs Oregon prediction is the Ducks bouncing back at Autzen Stadium. Head coach Dan Lanning boasts a spotless 19-0 record at home against unranked opponents, part of Oregon’s 46 straight home wins over unranked teams.

Oregon’s offense has averaged 41.0 points and 458.8 total yards per game, though much of that production came with Moore under center. The seven turnovers against the Bruins were catastrophic. Those are correctable errors, but an unsettled quarterback situation adds risk. Defensively, the Ducks are stout. They are allowing just 22.0 points per game, holding opponents to a 22.1% conversion rate on third down and limiting rushing attacks to 118.4 yards per contest.

Nebraska wants to establish a ground-and-pound rhythm to keep the crowd quiet. The Cornhuskers average 213.8 rushing yards and command a suffocating 33:43 in average time of possession. They have won the time of possession battle in all six games this season. Yet, Oregon’s front seven is built to disrupt that methodical game plan. At 70¢, Oregon’s moneyline is a solid foundational piece if you are comfortable backing the home favorite.

Nebraska vs Oregon Picks

  • Pick: Oregon -6.5 (53¢ on Kalshi)

Kalshi
Oregon wins by over 6.5 points
50%

Beyond the outright winner, my top Nebraska vs Oregon pick is the Ducks to cover the primary number. I am locking in Oregon -6.5 at 53¢.

The Huskers boast an aggressive defense allowing just 15.2 points and 94.3 rushing yards per game. They are holding opponents to a staggering 19.7% conversion rate on third down. However, their reliance on controlling the clock gets complicated if Oregon scores early. Nebraska leans heavily on extended possessions, logging 11 touchdown drives of 10 or more plays and converting 20 of their 25 red zone trips into touchdowns this year. If they fall behind, chasing points is not their strong suit.

With Moore ruled out and no confirmed starter between Raiola and Thomas, I expect a conservative game plan from the Oregon staff built around protecting the football. Nebraska’s +5 turnover differential is impressive, but Oregon’s defense generates takeaways too, racking up 10 so far this year. Laying under a full touchdown at home is the sharp play over the alternate lines.

Nebraska vs Oregon Latest Spread

The Nebraska vs Oregon odds below show Kalshi’s current buy prices. Each contract pays $1 if the selection wins.

Oregon -7.546¢
Nebraska +7.555¢

Looking at the latest pricing on prediction market apps, Oregon’s 70¢ price means you pay 70¢ for a contract that returns $1 if the Ducks win, a 30¢ profit before fees. That is roughly -233 in American odds. The market clearly respects the Ducks’ home-field edge despite their recent slip-up.

The latest spread sits at 6.5, with Oregon -6.5 at 53¢ and Nebraska +6.5 at 48¢. At 7.5, Oregon drops to 46¢ while Nebraska rises to 55¢. Buy prices on opposite sides can total more than $1 because each side is quoted at its own ask. I prefer laying 6.5 at 53¢ against a Nebraska team that plays methodical, clock-draining football.

Before locking in your positions, verify the latest contract prices as liquidity shifts closer to kickoff. If you have not created an account yet, grab a Kalshi promo code to get in on the action Saturday night.
