The No. 2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (6-0) travel to LaVell Edwards Stadium to battle the No. 8 BYU Cougars (5-0) at 7:30 PM ET on Saturday, with ABC carrying the broadcast.

Notre Dame looks about as complete as any team in the country right now. The Irish dismantled Stanford 58-7 last weekend while piling up 598 total yards and forcing three turnovers.

BYU is standing tall too after grinding out a 24-10 win over Iowa State, racking up 506 total yards in the process. With both sides boasting undefeated records, the stakes for this matchup of National Championship odds contenders are sky high. My Notre Dame vs BYU prediction has the road favorites covering 10.5 points. CJ Carr has been close to flawless, throwing for 1,378 yards and 16 touchdowns against a single interception across six starts. New users can sign up with the Kalshi promo code and get a bonus to use on this game.

He is not doing it alone either. Jonaz Walton is averaging 7.9 yards per carry on 52 attempts, and Notre Dame is putting up 194.8 rushing yards per game to go with everything Carr does through the air.

Bear Bachmeier has been solid with 1,033 passing yards, but the defense waiting for him is the best he has seen. Notre Dame allows just 11 points and 214 total yards per game while holding a plus-13 turnover margin.

When you win the field position battle and generate takeaways at that rate, double-digit margins follow. At 48¢ this is one of my favorite plays of the weekend.

Each price is what one share costs in cents, and a winning share settles at a dollar. The Notre Dame vs BYU early betting line shows a heavy lean toward the visitors on the moneyline at 78¢.

The spread tells a different story. At 48¢ Yes and 53¢ No, the market is slightly against Notre Dame covering 10.5, which is exactly the gap I am trying to exploit. You can compare those contracts to the traditional college football odds or shop other prediction market apps before you commit.

The Over is my Notre Dame vs BYU best bet. Notre Dame averages 44 points per game and BYU puts up 34.6, a combined 78.6 points that leaves room for both attacks to slow down and still clear 47.5.

Carr has weapons everywhere, led by Jordan Faison and his 387 receiving yards and four scores on 28 catches. Micah Gilbert has nearly matched that yardage on nine fewer receptions.

Bachmeier is just as dangerous with his legs as his arm, rushing for 239 yards and four touchdowns at 6.6 per carry. If BYU falls behind early, they will have to open things up and push the pace to stay in it.

The honest risk is that both defenses are legitimate, with Notre Dame allowing 11.0 points per game and BYU 13.4. I still think the scoring upside outweighs it at this price.

The glaring mismatch in this Notre Dame vs BYU matchup is run defense. The Irish surrender a microscopic 58.3 rushing yards per game, and BYU leans on LJ Martin and a ground game producing 223.8 yards per contest.

If Notre Dame plugs those lanes early, Bachmeier faces obvious passing situations. That plays into the hands of a defense that has already collected 14 takeaways this season.

Worth noting that the team passing numbers include backup snaps, with Noah Grubbs accounting for 164 of Notre Dame’s yards. Carr’s individual average sits closer to 229.7 per game.
