Manchester United (+140) vs. Arsenal (+200) (Draw +240)
Arsenal and Manchester United are both trying to secure a direct spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League by finishing top-three in the EPL. Sitting third and fourth in the EPL table, respectively, and separated by just two points, the teams will lock horns in a pivotal match tomorrow at Old Trafford (11:00 AM Eastern).
Chelsea were crowned EPL champs for the year, but Man United and Arsenal – who have already sewn up top-four spots in the domestic league – can avoid early round Champions League qualification with a top-three finish.
Arsenal have 70 points after 35 games, but they enter this meeting after losing 1-0 at home against Swansea on Monday; the loss ended a ten-game unbeaten streak for the Gunners (9-1-0).
“It’s frustrating because we lost the game. It was a question of maybe finishing better, being patient and not to make a mistake at the back,” Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said to the English press. “We were a bit unlucky on the goal, but guilty as well. It’s frustrating, but we can take a lot of positives from tonight’s game.”
Man United, meanwhile, have 68 points but have also played one more game than Arsenal on the year (36), meaning tomorrow’s game is essentially do-or-die in terms of finishing top-three.
United beat Crystal Palace in their last outing (2-1), ending a rare three-game losing streak.
Arsenal and Manchester United have already clashed twice this season, with each side winning 2-1 in the other’s stadium. Given that trend and United’s recent string of setbacks, the Arsenal moneyline looks like good value.
Pick: Arsenal +200.
