It’s been a little while since we’ve updated our odds for the 2016-17 EPL season. Ten games into the new season, what better time to take another look? There have been a few movers and shakers already, so let’s get right to it.

As it stands, there are three teams sitting at the top of the table, each with 23 points to their name: Manchester City (7-2-1), Arsenal (7-2-1), and Liverpool (7-2-1). Only goal difference separates them.

At fourth place is Chelsea (7-1-2), who are only one point from the top. And then there is Tottenham (5-5-0), who are right at home in fifth with 20 points.

The biggest mover, however, is Manchester United (4-3-3). After a promising start, the Red Devils currently sit in eighth-place with only 15 points. Is it already game over for Mou’s new squad?

2016-17 EPL Title Odds (Nov. 2)

Man City: 5/4

The Citizens have managed to turn it up a notch this season under Pep Guardiola. Kevin De Bruyne is establishing himself as a world-class goal scorer and Sergio Aguero has really come to life of late.

Their Champions League hopes have been revitalised as well after they beat Barcelona 3-1 earlier this week. Barca were without Gerard Pique and Andres Iniesta and their absence was felt. But that should not take away from City’s performance, which was Guardiola football at its finest.

Liverpool: 10/3

The scrappy Liverpool side is on quite a streak at the moment. They’ve beaten both Chelsea and Arsenal so far and have only managed to lose one game despite their lack of clean sheets. They’re scoring goals like crazy, but they’re also conceding a worrying number of goals. In fact, you have to scan down to 10th place Bournemouth before finding a team that has conceded more goals than Liverpool in the EPL.

Arsenal: 10/3

It’s been twelve years since Arsenal has won the Premiership, and this may well be their year. They have a tough next few weeks, though. Their next game is against rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who are the only unbeaten team in the league. After that is a struggling Manchester United side in the process of finding their footing.

Chelsea: 11/2

Beating a Mourinho-led Manchester United side 4-0 is always a boost for morale. But it’s especially uplifting for the current Chelsea squad, who were pummelled last season under Mourinho. Under new management, Chelsea have once again found their fire. And they’re playing like the Premiership-winning side of 2014.
