Odds have KT Rolster higher up than ever before, and after capturing the LCK Summer Championship in the early hours this morning, in a thrilling win over Griffin, they probably deserve to be higher. Below is a table with the odds for the top five competitors heading into the  World Championships September 20th:

Odds to win The World Championships 2018

Team Odds
Invictus Gaming +350
KT Rolster +350
Royal Never Give Up +500
Afreeca Freecs +750
KINGZONE DragonX +800

*Odds taken 9/08/18

Invictus Gaming’s Dominance

Invictus Gaming has been in a dominant space for a while now. The team from China has the number one world ranking and have netted over $900,000 USD.

They finished first in the 2018 LPL Spring East, first in the Rift Rivals 2018 LCK-LPL-LMS, and 3rd and 4th, respectively, in two recent tournaments between those finishes.

Rookie is one of the best Mid-Laners in the world, and Duke is a calming force leading this team through thick and thin. They have the firepower and leadership to cakewalk to the finals in almost any tournament, but now may have a true equal in KT Rolster.

KT Rolster True 2018 World Championship Contenders

They needed a thrilling comeback in a five-game series against Griffin to take home the LCK Crown this Summer.

That ability to comeback after being down is new for KT. They have long been labeled chokers, but now with a massive win under their belt and a veteran who seems possessed to win, they’re poised to make some noise later this month.

Go Dong-bin, AKA “Score” outclassed Griffin’s jungler “Tarzan” and unleashed his ultimate in a pivotal Game 5, earning KT Rolster the number one overall seed heading into the World Championships.

With the meta changing so much over the last few months in LoL, it’s clear that KT Rolster has the best handle on the evolving gameplay. And now they have a chance to show the world on the biggest stage. It’s clear they deserve their ranking, but are they good bets at +350 to capture it all?

Who’s the Best Bet to Win the 2018 World Championship?

Invictus Gaming is still the more proven squad, but Royal Never Give Up looks strong right now as well. At +500, they may be a smarter bet than risking putting any money on KT.

Afreeca Freecs (+750) are going to be fan favorites thanks to KT’s win. It means they’re locked into the tournament as second seeds behind KT Rolster.

But don’t be fooled. Invictus Gaming and Royal Never Give Up are still stronger teams.
