MLB Odds – 9 Managers Most Likely to Be Fired
After a 7-18 start, the Milwaukee Brewers dismissed manager Ron Roenicke three days into May.
But the Brewers aren’t the only team floundering after starting the year with high expectations.
The White Sox and Indians are well off the torrid pace being set by the Tigers and Royals in the AL Central; both squads need to turn things around quickly to salvage the season. Meanwhile, the Mariners are currently last in the AL West after starting the year as a popular pick to claim the pennant.
Over in the NL, the Nationals – who entered the season as World Series favorites and boast a pitching staff that would make the 90s Braves drool – find themselves under .500 and several games back of the Mets. (The Mets! Really! I triple checked!)
In light of those teams’ early struggles, odds are Roenicke won’t be the last skipper terminated before the end of the 2015 season.
Usually, when someone says “odds are …”, they don’t mean it literally. We, of course, do.
