  • Our Orioles vs Mariners prediction has Baltimore completing the sweep on Thursday
  • The Orioles are -155 moneyline favorites in the July 4th MLB odds
  • Read below for Orioles vs Mariners prediction, odds, props and injuries for Thursday’s game

The Baltimore Orioles and Seattle Mariners wrap up their three-game series on the 4th of July in Seattle with the first pitch scheduled for 4:10 PM EST. The game will be televised on MASN2.

The Orioles are favored with a moneyline of -155, while the Mariners are underdogs at +130. The run line has Baltimore at -1.5 (+155) and Seattle at +1.5 (-130). The total is set at 7 runs with the over at -110 and the under at -110.

Here is our Orioles vs Mariners prediction for Thursday, along with MLB player props to lock in for July 4th.

Orioles vs Mariners Prediction

The Orioles have taken the first two games of this series, including a 4-1 victory on Wednesday night. Ryan O’Hearn led the way for Baltimore, going 2-for-3 with a double, home run, and three RBIs. The Orioles have now won six of their last seven games and hold a two-game lead over the Yankees in the AL East.

Baltimore will send ace Corbin Burnes to the mound in the series finale. Burnes is 9-3 with a 2.28 ERA this season and has won six of his last seven decisions. He faced the Mariners back on May 19, allowing one unearned run over six innings with 11 strikeouts in a 6-3 Orioles win.

The Mariners have lost four straight and 10 of their last 13, seeing their lead in the AL West shrink to just two games over the Astros. Seattle’s offense has struggled mightily in this series, scoring just one run over the first two games. They will need a strong outing from starter Bryce Miller to avoid the sweep.

Miller is 6-7 with a 3.88 ERA on the season. He faced the Orioles on May 17 in Baltimore, giving up five runs (four earned) over 5 1/3 innings in a 9-2 loss. Miller has lost his last two starts coming into this matchup.

Burnes
VS
Miller
9-3 Record 6-7
2.28 ERA 3.88
17 Starts 17
91 Strikeouts 91
28 Walks 28

With Burnes on the mound and the Orioles swinging hot bats, Baltimore deserved to be favored in this one. The Mariners will need to find some offense to keep up, but that has been a challenge lately, especially against top-tier pitching.

Expect the Orioles to complete the sweep behind another strong outing from Burnes. We’ve used odds from BetMGM for this story, but our MLB odds page tells us the best odds for Baltimore tonight are at Bet365 Sportsbook.

Orioles vs Mariners Odds

As mentioned, the Orioles are favored in this matchup with a moneyline of -155. This means a $155 bet on Baltimore would return a $100 profit if they win. The Mariners are +130 underdogs, so a $100 bet would net a $130 profit with a Seattle victory.

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Orioles -1.5 (+115) -155 Over 7 (-110)
Mariners +1.5 (-140) +130 Under 7 (-110)

The run line has Baltimore at -1.5 (+115), meaning they need to win by two or more runs for that bet to cash. Seattle is +1.5 (-140), so they can lose by one run or win outright for that bet to hit. The -140 odds indicate Seattle +1.5 is a stronger probability than Baltimore -1.5.

The odds favor Baltimore due to a few key factors. They have won the first two games of the series and six of the last seven overall. The Orioles also have one of the best pitchers in baseball taking the mound in Corbin Burnes. Seattle’s recent struggles, especially on offense, are also likely influencing the odds.

Orioles vs Mariners Player Props

Here are a few player props to consider for this matchup:

Corbin Burnes Over 7.5 Strikeouts (-115) – Burnes has hit this number in three of his last five starts and racked up 11 Ks against Seattle earlier this year.

Gunnar Henderson Over 1.5 Total Bases (+100) – The All-Star shortstop has 4 multi-hit games in his last 10. At even odds, this is a solid value.

Julio Rodriguez Under 0.5 Hits (+150) – Rodriguez is hitting just .244 on the season and has really struggled of late, even getting moved down to 7th in the order. The plus odds make this an intriguing play.

Orioles vs Mariners Injury Report

For the Orioles, starting pitcher Dean Kremer just returned from the IL to pitch five scoreless innings on Wednesday. However, relief pitcher Danny Coulombe remains out.

On the Mariners side, relief pitchers Gregory Santos and Heath Hembree are out, as is rookie starting pitcher Bryan Woo. None of these injuries are expected to have a major impact on Thursday’s game, but the lack of bullpen depth could be something to watch if either starter exits early.
