Lauer is coming off a strong outing Monday when he beat the Pittsburgh Pirates at home. He allowed one run and five hits in six innings with five strikeouts and one walk.

Lauer is 2-1 with a 1.42 ERA in three career starts against the Phillies and 0-1 with a 3.00 ERAin his lone appearance at Citizens Bank Park. However, Lauer’s numbers at CBP are skewed as he gave up six runs in six innings, four unearned.

This will be Lauer’s second road start of the year after he allowed four runs (three earned) in 4.1 innings in a no-decision against the Baltimore Orioles on April 12 in his season debut. Both of Lauer’s starts have been at night.

Reigning National League MVP Bryce Harper is 3 for 8 with a home run off Lauer. J.T. Realmuto, though, is 1 for 11 (.091) with four strikeouts.

Nola pitched well in a losing effort his last time out, giving up two runs and six hits in 5.1 innings Monday against the Rockies in Colorado. He struck out four and walked one.

Nola, whose NL Cy Young odds are +3000 has fared well against the Brewers with a 4-1 record with a 3.05 ERA in eight starts. He is 1-1 with a 6.75 in two starts at home this season and Monday’s outing was his first on the road.

Brewers vs Phillies Betting Outlook

Willy Adames swiped home on the back end of a double steal to cap a four-run fifth inning as the Brewers overcame a 3-0 deficit to beat the Phillies on Saturday.

Adames had two hits and Renfroe went 3 for 4 with a double and home run. Renfroe has two doubles, two homers, three RBIs and four runs scored in his last four games.

The Brewers have a 2.32 ERA in the last seven games and their pitchers have 66 strikeouts in 62 innings during that span.

Odubel Herrera had two hits for the Phillies. Harper extended his hitting streak to seven games, going 10 for 29 (.345) with six RBIs in that stretch.

Phillies shortstop Didi Gregorius (hand) missed his third straight game and is questionable for Sunday.

The teams are meeting for the first time in 2022 this weekend after the Phillies won five of seven from the Brewers last year.
