Former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos returns to the cage at UFC Fight Night: Luque vs Dos Anjos. Having entered the Octagon with a who’s who of MMA, dos Anjos is one of the most experienced fighters on the UFC roster. Dos Anjos has been in the Octagon with the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Kamaru Usman and Robbie Lawler. He’s always entertains with a innate sense of aggression and urgency in every contest. Additionally, dos Anjos has been nearly impossible to finish throughout his career.
Welcoming dos Anjos back to the cage will be fellow Brazilian Vicente Luque. Despite back-to-back UFC losses, Luque is a dangerous striker smack dab in the middle of his prime. After all, before those losses Luque had strung together four straight victories. Incredibly, Luque finished both Tyron Woodley and Michael Chiesa via d’arce choke submission in the very first round.

While dos Anjos remains an iron-jawed warrior, at 38-years-old his best fighting days are behind him. Even though the Rio de Janeiro native sports an incredible 11 submission victories in his career, Vincent Luque may be a bridge too far. Dos Anjos simply has far fewer paths to victory in Saturday’s main event.

Swanson vs Dawodu Odds & Prediction
An intriguing UFC Fight Night co-main event pits UFC veteran Cub Swanson against up and comer Hakeem Dawodu.
Although Swanson lost to rising kickboxer Jonathan Martinez in his last bout, his experience could give him the edge at UFC Fight Night: Luque vs Dos Anjos. After all, the 39-year-old looked great against Darren Elkins not too long ago, and has more than enough tools in his belt to make Saturday a long night for Dawodu.

That being said, Swanson has taken some beatings in the Octagon. At some point Father Time catches up. While Dawodu has lost two of his last three fights, the Canadian had put together five straight wins before that. He’ll also be the much larger fighter in this bout, as Swanson moves up to fight at featherweight.
Ultimately, Cub will be a willing challenger in this engagement. However, at this point in their careers’, Hakeem Dawodu is a few levels above in terms of technical striking and physicality. Take Dawodu to win in what may be the most entertaining fight of the night.
