  • Philadelphia is seeking a series sweep in Round 1 with a Game 4 win Saturday in Brooklyn
  • The Nets are the lowest-scoring team in the playoffs

Get out. Get healthy.

That’s got to be top of mind for the Philadelphia 76ers, who can be the first team to advance into Round 2 of the NBA Playoffs with a win over the Brooklyn Nets in Game 4.

Things don’t normally go this smoothly for Philly: they’re attempting a sweep in a 7-game series for the first time since the 1984-85 season. They haven’t swept a first-round series since 1991, when they were still best-of-5.

Getting out of this slugfest with BK can only do Joel Embiid some good, as he was physically battered after a Game 3 win.

The Nets are the latest team attempting to become the first NBA team to ever come back from a 3-0 deficit in the playoffs.

Game 4 goes Saturday (April 22) at 1pm ET from Barclays Center in Brooklyn. You can watch the game live on TNT.

76ers vs Nets Game 4 Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Philadelphia 76ers -5.5 (-110) -215 Ov 208.5 (-110)
Brooklyn Nets +5.5 (-110) +185 Un 208.5 (-110)

The NBA odds don’t seem bullish on BK extending this one much further than four, listing them as 5.5-point home ‘dogs and +185 on the moneyline, an implied win probability of just 35.09%.

At 25-16, Philly was tied for the 2nd-best road record in the NBA. They’re also a crisp 17-5 against the spread as a road favorite, the 3rd-best betting mark in the Association.

Brooklyn is the polar opposite, running a 4-12 ATS record as a home underdog, the 5th-worst mark in the league.

76ers vs Nets Betting Analysis

Simply put, Joel Embiid got beat up in the Sixers’ 101-97 win in Game 3. He was knocked to the ground on numerous occasions, hurting his back, ankle and right knee. He was also almost ejected for a low-blow kick on Nic Claxton as the Nets big man tried to step over him.

That earned him a flagrant 1 and confusion from NBA fans, who watched Draymond Green get a 1-game ban for a stomp on Domantas Sabonis. It was taken up another level when James Harden was ejected for extending his arm and striking Royce O’Neale in the groin area, perhaps one of the worst ejections in recent playoff memory.

Despite those situations, there is no further discipline coming from the league, and both 76er stars should be able to go Saturday.

Philly drew a huge boost from Tyrese Maxey, who went for 25 points, three boards, and three assists, while drilling 5-for-8 from downtown. Harden was enjoying his best game of the series, with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists before getting tossed, while Embiid went for 14 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, including a crucial, late-game rejection on Spencer Dinwiddie to help seal it.

The Nets were in it all game, but couldn’t close in the fourth, scoring just 15 points on a bleak 5-for-18 shooting, including 1-for-7 from three-point range while committing four turnovers.

Mikal Bridges led the way for the Nets with 26 points, but needed 26 shots to get there, adding six boards and five dimes. Dinwiddie went for 20, with seven assists. Cam Johnson played a game-high 44 minutes, scoring 17, with five boards and four dimes.

It’s a small sample, but Brooklyn is the lowest scoring team in the playoffs, putting up just 94 points per game.

Philadelphia vs Brooklyn Same-Game Parlay

As of early Friday afternoon, DraftKings still didn’t have Embiid or Maxey listed for any action on their Same-Game parlay, but no worry, we’ve found some solid bets to count on in this 3-leg SGP.

We’ll start with Cameron Johnson, who’s been great this series — a pack on Embiid would build anyone’s confidence. He’s gone over 17.5 points twice in three games, just missing by a point last time out.

76ers vs Nets Game 4 Same-Game Parlay

Pick Odds
Cam Johnson OVER 17.5 points -110
James Harden Double-Double (YES) +130
Spencer Dinwiddie UNDER 7.5 assists +100
Same-Game Parlay Odds +550

Harden was potentially on his way to his second double-double in three games this series before getting tossed. He’s gone from scoring machine to ultimate wing man, and he’s looked smooth doing it. With Embiid hobbled, I like the Beard stepping up.

Spencer Dinwiddie has been shooting just 39.5% in the series, but he’s been keeping his teammates well fed, averaging 6.7 assists in the series. However, he’s yet to hit eight dimes in a game, and they’re giving plus odds he goes under 7.5? Let’s jump on that.

This SGP pays out at +550, meaning a $10 bet lands you a cool $55 profit.

Brooklyn is now 0-5-1 ATS in their last six conference quarterfinal games. Look for the 76ers to take care of business.
