One of the most impressive stories out of the Vegas Summer League so far has been the play of the Golden State Warriors. The Dubs are 2-0, with a pair of convincing victories under their belt, and will look to improve to 3-0 tonight when they face the Memphis Grizzlies. Online sportsbooks like their chances, pegging the Warriors as big favorites, in large part due to some key expected absences on the Memphis side.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm ET, 4pm PT from the Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada. Below, I’ll breakdown my best bets and picks, along with the latest odds for the Grizzlies vs Warriors showdown on ESPN.
Best Bets and Picks for Grizzlies vs Warriors
My favorite bet in this matchup is Golden State against the spread. The Warriors opened up anywhere from -3.5 to -4.5 favorites depending on which sportsbook you use, but that line has since been inflated to -6.5. Even at that price the juice is shaded to the over, but if you visit Kalshi, you can trade Golden State -4.5 at 58-cents, which is the equivalent to -138 odds in traditional sports betting terms. That’s the route I’m choosing for this matchup, as the Warriors have looked like a well oiled machine so far. Don’t forget, you can claim the Kalshi referral code to score a bonus to bet on NBA Summer League.
Through two games, no team in Vegas has a higher average point differential than Golden State (+18). The Warriors have blown out their first two opponents, leaning on the rookie duo of Yaxel Lendeborg and Lajae Jones. Both players are pouring in double-digit points and grabbing 5+ rebounds per outing, with Lendeborg looking ready to begin the season in the starting 5.
The 11th overall pick is averaging 17.5 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, while shooting 62% from beyond the arc on 12 attempts. Golden State is a ridiculous +36 with him on the floor, and he owns the highest BPM in Summer League history so far. The Warriors have put up 100+ points in both of their outings, shooting over 40% from three, while outrebounding their opponents by 19+ boards per contest.
As for Memphis, they’re coming in for the second half of a back-to-back after looking extremely sluggish in Monday night’s loss to Dallas. The Grizzlies shot a woeful 37% from the floor, and lost by 8 points despite taking 27 more shots than their opponent.
To make matters worse for Memphis backers and Grizzlies fans in attendance, is the expected absence of 3rd overall pick Cameron Boozer. The NBA Rookie of the Year odds contender has been brilliant so far in his Summer League action, but it appears Memphis has seen all they need to see from their top draft pick.
Boozer has splashed 20+ points in back-to-back Vegas outings, but after logging 29 minutes last night, and also participating in the Salt Lake City Summer League, it’s likely we don’t see him again until the NBA preseason.
The Grizzlies spent the offseason unloading their high-priced talent, making them one of the most extreme longshots in the NBA Championship Odds. They’ve struggled to defend, allowing both the Bulls and Mavericks to shoot well above 40% from three against them in Vegas, and their lousy play in their own end should open the door for another efficient shooting night for Lendeborg and Co.

As of the time of writing, Golden State is a massive -265 moneyline favorite, after opening up in the -175 range. Memphis comes back as a +215 underdog, while the total sits at 186.5. That’s an over/under both Warriors Summer League games have cleared so far, but I’d be hesitant about betting the over tonight, as I expect Memphis’ depleted lineup will have a tough time punching back.
