  • Bettors only have three NBA games to pick through for Tuesday, November 9, 2021
  • A great way to get in on the action are NBA player props even on night’s like tonight when we are dealing with a limited slate
  • See below to find out some of the best player props to bet on tonight

Tuesday nights belong to the NBA and even though we’ve only got three games on the slate, there is still enough for bettors to be excited about. No matter what anyone tells you, keep in mind that with player props, there’s always an angle to bet.

The good news is, of the three games on the docket, two of them are nationally televised. At 7:30pm ET, TNT is showing the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers from the City of Brotherly Love. When they’re finished, we’ll go out to Los Angeles and watch the Clippers host on the Portland Trail Blazers. Tonight has a shot at being magical.

There are more unforeseen roster changes in the NBA than any other sport. Because of that, many books are reluctant to post player prop lines too early in the day. For that reason, not all of the teams in action tonight are included in the table below. Scroll down to see the lines that are available and a couple of best bets.

Odds as of Nov 9th at DraftKings

Bobby Portis is an Energy Guy

With Brock Lopez out against the Washington Wizards, the Milwaukee Bucks got creative and started Bobby Portis at center. The result was a a 13-point, 13-rebound double-double. The Bucks lost the game but a double-double is a double-double.

The point is, when Bobby Portis plays, he compiles statistics. It’s always been like that.

We don’t know if the Bucks will start Portis at center again but if they do, this is a set it and forget it. The thing is, even if they don’t start Portis at the five, he still is highly likely to pull down at least eight boards tonight. He’s done it in each of this last three games and in one of those games he only played 22 minutes.

The Philadelphia 76ers are missing multiple starters tonight including Joel Embiid, so they will be a ripe target. Andre Drummond played 38 minutes last night and grabbed 25 boards but Julius Randle and RJ Barrett both grabbed double digit rebounds. I think Portis hits double digits tonight easily going over his posted total of 7.5.

  • The Pick: Bobby Portis Over 7.5 Rebounds (-110)

Capela Can Score the Rock

Clint Capela is a tough guy to bet on a nightly basis. There are some nights when he doesn’t even play 25 minutes. On other nights he plays over 30. It’s understandable that this causes frustration but it can also work in bettors’ favor. Especially on nights where he is in line to get at least 30 minutes.

Against the Utah Jazz, Capela looks like a good bet to reach the 30’s in minutes, which also means he is likely to score some points.

As long as the Utah Jazz have Rudy Gobert on their side, teams will have to have a big man to counter. The Hawks have played 11 games this season and only one time has Capela reached 35 minutes. You guessed it, the game was against the Utah Jazz.

In that game last week, Capela took only eight shots but was also awarded six free throws. It’s not hard to imagine a similar type stat line tonight given the matchup.

We’re getting a discount here too as well since Capela turned in lackluster games in each of his last two outings. Those games were against teams that go small so Capela didn’t play more than 28 minutes in either one. If the Hawks can just stay competitive enough for Capela to play the fourth quarter, he should score at least 11 points.

  • The Pick: Clint Capela Over 10.5 Points (-110)

Paul George is a Glass Eater

Rebound props are the most volatile player props a person can bet. They literally depend on which way the ball bounces. It’s crazy to have two in one night. Not to fear though, because some guys just seem to get all the bounces. And when the ball bounces to them, they seem to always come down with a board.

One guy that fits that description is Paul George.

The Clippers played the Portland Trail Blazers on October 25th and George did not grab a single rebound. Not one. Since that night, he’s only gone under eight one time in six tries. That includes two games where he ended with double-digits in the rebound category.

George is grabbing his rebounds an average of 6.1 feet from the rim which is good for a matchup like this. Both teams average roughly 40 three-point attempts a game so we should see some long rebounds. I expect George to be on the floor for 35 plus minutes tonight and if he is, he should come down with at least eight boards.

  • The Pick: Paul George Over 7.5 Rebounds (-104)
