Suns Betting Trends

The Suns are coming off an impressive 124-108 road win over the LA Clippers on Wednesday night. Devin Booker led the way with 37 points on 13-24 shooting, bouncing back from a dismal 1-11 performance the previous game. Bradley Beal added 26 points and Kevin Durant chipped in 24 as the Suns outscored the Clippers 32-15 in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Before that, Phoenix had lost two straight home games to the Pelicans and Clippers. At 47-33, they currently sit in 7th place in the West, one game behind 6th-place New Orleans in the NBA Playoff Bracket. The Suns are 3-2 in their last five, with wins over the Clippers, Nuggets and Pelicans. They’ve covered the spread in three of those five contests.

The Suns are led by their star trio of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. Booker and Durant are both averaging 27.2 points per game on the season, tying for 5th in the NBA. Booker is shooting 49.4% from the field and 36.5% from three.

On the season, Phoenix has a 34-44-2 record against the spread and a 35-45 mark to the over. They are 22-17 straight up on the road this year.

Kings Betting Trends

Sacramento is reeling a bit, having lost four of their last five games to fall into a three-way tie for 8th place in the West at 45-35. They are coming off a 135-123 home loss to the Pelicans on Thursday night, despite 33 points and eight assists from De’Aaron Fox.

The Kings have failed to cover in four of their last five. During this 1-4 stretch, their only win came on the road against the Nets. Sacramento has especially struggled on defense, allowing at least 123 points in all five games.

Sacramento’s offense revolves around point guard De’Aaron Fox and center Domantas Sabonis. Fox is enjoying a career year, averaging 26.7 points and 6.1 assists on 51.2% shooting.

For the season, the Kings are 40-38-1 ATS and 37-42 to the over. At home, they have a 23-16 record straight up and are 19-19-1 ATS.

Kevin Durant’s player prop point total has been slowly climbing, but we think there’s some value left at the current number. The 35-year-old small forward loves playing the Kings, averaging 30.4 points while shooting 54.1% from the floor and 45.6% from deep in his last 10 meetings with them.

Phoenix Suns vs Sacramento Kings Prediction

The Suns and Kings have split their four meetings so far this season, with each team winning once at home and once on the road. Sacramento took the first two matchups, while Phoenix won the last two.

Given the Kings’ recent struggles, especially defensively, and the fact they are on a back-to-back, the Suns seem to have the advantage here. They are the more desperate team and have been playing better lately. Sacramento is just 1-4 ATS in its last five and 3-7 ATS in its last 10 vs Phoenix.

Look for Booker, Durant and Beal to take advantage of a tired Kings defense. Fox and Sabonis will still get theirs, but it likely won’t be enough unless someone else steps up. The Suns have too much firepower and motivation in this spot.

PHX vs SAC Pick:

  • Suns -5.5 (-110)
