Michael Young Jr. Returns With a Bang
Young hasn’t suited up since November 12th due to a nagging ankle injury, but is reportedly back to full health for this semifinal.
Ridder’s most targeted receiver last season, he took a bit of a backseat to Alec Pierce, Josh Whyle and Leonard Taylor this season – but he performs his best in big games.
In the early season showdowns against P5 competition against Indiana & Notre Dame (his former school), he had a season high four catches. In last season’s Peach Bowl against Georgia, he also led the team in catches and receiving yards.

If there’s one weakness in Alabama’s pass defense, it’s their two linebackers having to drop back in pass coverage – especially Henry To’oto’o, who doesn’t have the speed to keep up with most receivers. The Tide were gashed by Brock Bowers in the SEC Championship game, as the Bulldogs star TE went for 139 yards on 10 catches despite the loss.
Knowing the vulnerability of those backers, look for Young to get multiple looks from Desmond Ridder operating out of the slot, and he should have ample opportunity to go over his receiving yardage prop at 30.5

Bryce Young Rushes for a Touchdown
For most of the season, Young seemed very hesitant to run and take any kind of hit unless it was absolutely necessary.
Against Cincinnati – I think it’ll be extremely necessary for the Tide to get points and finish off drives.
It’ll be strength on strength in the red zone, as Cincinnati ranks 4th in the nation only giving up points on 69.4% of opportunities inside the 20. Bama is 9th offensively in the RZ, scoring on 92% of their trips towards the end zone.
With the Bearcats All-American secondary likely making it tough to find Jameson Williams or Slade Bolden for a score, I like the chances of Young being forced to make magic happen with his feet and scramble in himself for a score at some point during the game.

Blake Corum Just Needs One Play to Go Over Rushing Total
You might sense a theme here, as Corum also nursed an ankle injury through the latter stages of the season – but came back in a part time role and made some dynamite plays down the stretch.
Even against the vaunted Georgia defense, his explosiveness can’t be denied – as he averaged 14.8 YPC in his last two games with six rushes for 87 yards against Ohio State and 74 yards on just five touches out of the backfield against Iowa.

Corum is absolutely lethal off of one cut, and can change direction on a dime – which will be crucial against Georgia’s dominant front seven.
With Hassan Haskins operating as the chain mover and workhorse of this back field, I expect a fully healthy Corum to receive at least 10 carries and with his ability to go for a big play – I like betting the over on his rushing total.

Brock Bowers Keeps Touchdown Streak Alive
Bowers has been an absolute force all year, but absolutely went in to overdrive over the last three weeks of the season.
Against Charleston Southern, Georgia Tech and Alabama, he’s caught 17 balls for 276 total yards and five touchdowns.

Even with star George Pickens back for the Bulldogs outside, I still expect the Bowers-Stetson Bennett connection to be the focal point of Georgia’s passing offense in the Orange Bowl.
With Daxton Hill’s status still up in the air for Michigan, Bowers could have a field day if Michigan is forced in to trusting either linebackers or their backup safety to deal with the 6’4, 230 pound Tight End.
With plus-money odds of +160 to score a touchdown, Bowers is absolutely worth a play.
