Bengals vs Ravens SGP Picks: Alternate Total Over 33.5

It’s common knowledge by this point that prime-time Unders have been cashing like crazy and these teams have both cashed more Under bets this year than Overs. The Bengals are 5-4 to the Under and Ravens 6-4 to the Under and the public is loving the Under here in the Bengals vs Ravens betting splits.

But we do regularily see points in this matchup with games finishing with 51, 41, 43, 36, 62, 58 and 41 points in their past seven meetings. In fact, neither team has failed to score at least 16 points in any of the last six games.

The Ravens won 27-24 in Cincinnati earlier this season and that even came with Joe Burrow still dealing with a calf injury.

Both teams won at home in the regular season last year, Baltimore 19-17 and Cincinnati 27-16. Then the Bengals won 24-17 at home in the playoffs.

This season both are averaging 20+ PPG, Cincinnati 20.2 and Baltimore 27.0.

The Bengals went Over the total last week losing 30-27. In their four wins prior, the total points were 42, 48, 30 and 54.

The Ravens are also coming off a wild game last week losing 33-31. They’re 3-1 to the Over in their past four games and in their past five the total points have been 64, 40, 55, 44 and 40.

I’m not sure I fully want to go against this prime-time trend in my Bengals vs Ravens picks … fully. But on an alternate spread of just 33.5 instead of 46 in the NFL lines I can see this going Over.

Bengals vs Ravens SGP Picks: Mark Andrews 40+ Receiving Yards

Cincinnati has given up 55 catches and 602 yards to opposing tight ends this season. That’s tied for the sixth most catches and the fourth-most yards in the league. They’ve also allowed four touchdowns to the position. Only six teams have allowed more.

Here comes Mark Andrews, one of the best tight ends in the game. Andrews has six touchdowns on the year and is averaging 57.9 yards per game. His high is only 80 yards this season but he’s finished with at least 40 or more yards in each of his last seven games and in 8/9 overall.

  • Bengals vs Ravens same game parlay picks: Mark Andrew 40+ Receiving Yards

Bengals vs Ravens SGP Picks: Gus Edwards 25+ Rushing Yards

The Bengals have not only struggled to defend tight ends, but they’ve also been gashed on the ground too.

Last game the Texans’ Devin Singletary ran all over the Bengals for 150 yards and a score.

On the season, Cincinnati has been poor defending the run, giving up 136.2 YPG which comes in 30th overall. They’re also missing DE Sam Hubbard tonight on the Bengals vs Ravens injury reports with an ankle injury.

Anytime you have Lamar Jackson, the rushing attempts are going to be spread around. And then there’s Justice Hill and Keaton Mitchell also cutting into the share of carries.

So I wouldn’t bet Gus Edwards to go off for a crazy day in the Bengals vs Ravens props. He rushed for only 24 yards on 11 carries last week and hasn’t topped 80 yards yet this season. His next highest game was just 64 yards.

He has though rushed for at least 41 yards or more in eight of his past nine games. Last week was the first time he failed to hit at least 25 yards.

  • Bengals vs Ravens same game parlay picks: Gus Edwards 25+ Rushing Yards

Bengals vs Ravens SGP Picks: Lamar Jackson 25+ Rushing Yards

In addition to 356 yards passing and a touchdown through the air, CJ Stroud also rushed in a score last week versus Cincy too.

In the game prior to Houston versus the Bills, Buffalo QB Josh Allen rushed for 44 yards and a score as well.

In another recent matchup, the Bengals allowed QB Brock Purdy to rush for 57 yards and Christian McCaffrey 54 yards against the 49ers.

Lamar Jackson has rushed for 481 yards this season and averages 48.1 YPG. Only twice in his past six games has he rushed for under 40 yards. Only once all season has he rushed for under 25 yards. And the Bengals have given up the fourth most yards to rushing quarterbacks this season.

  • Bengals vs Ravens same game parlay picks: Lamar Jackson 25+ Rushing Yards

SGP Season Record: 5-10, -2.76 units
