At first blush, it would seem like the Bengals, who are by far the better team, should be able to have a cakewalk over Cleveland. However, selecting this will take a bit of a leap of faith, if history is any indication. Surprisingly, the Browns have gotten the better of their in-state rivals in seven of their last eight meetings.

Our model has this game going in Cincinnati’s favor, with the Bengals predicted to win 27.9-19.4 over the Browns. After a slow start to the campaign that saw them lose their first two, Joe Burrow and co. have been lighting up scoreboards, recording at least 27 points in four of five games. Meanwhile, the Browns have lost four in a row, scoring more than 20 points on just one occasion.
SGP Pick #2: Joe Burrow Over 263.5 Passing Yards
Joe Burrow has been tossing the pigskin around with authority, racking up the fourth-highest per-game average in passing yards. Of course, that was before star receiver Ja’Marr Chase was injured, which will make things more difficult for Burrow in the Bengals vs Browns picks. However, in nine of his last 12 regular season games (including five of seven games this season), Burrow has eclipsed the 263.5 passing yards total.

In the three games Burrow has played against the Browns, he’s passed for 316, 406 and 282 yards. Cleveland is ranked 19th in pass coverage according to Pro Football Focus. The Bengals vs Browns injury report may factor for Burrow to get his yardage. Cleveland has three cornerbacks either out (Denzel Ward), or listed as questionable to suit up for this one (Greedy Williams, Greg Newsome).

With the aforementioned Ja’Marr Chase out of this contest (hip), Burrow will need to lean on his other top wideouts to pick up the slack. Tee Higgins is tied with Tyler Boyd for the second most yardage (455) on Cincy.

In three of his last four games, Higgins has put up big numbers, securing 93 yards twice and 124 on another instance. Dating back to last post and regular season, Higgins has gone over the listed 78.5 yards in 10 of 16 games. He must definitely be considered in your Bengals vs Browns props as he takes a spin as Burrows’ number-one target.
