- A dildo has been thrown onto the field in each of the last three Patriots’ visits to Buffalo
- The Bills have already given out one lifetime ban for throwing a dildo
- Are the odds strong enough for you to bet to see another dildo Sunday?
Welcome to the bizarro world of “a tradition unlike any other.”
And while Jim Nantz will likely be at New Era Field to call the battle for tops in the AFC East between the visiting New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills, there will be nothing Masters-like if the Bills fans keep up their recent string of shenanigans.
For each Patriots visit in the last three seasons, a dildo has been tossed on the field – and in some cases, multiple dildos in a single game.
Sportsbooks’ most recent odds is calling for a four-peat.
Odds Dildo Thrown Onto Bills’ Field/Sideline

It’s quickly become as much of the fabric of the Bills gameday experience as tailgate parties and WWE-like table mashing adventures in the parking lots. Does it continue with New England’s visit in Week 4?
The History of the Toss
On a very serious football play in 2016, Chris Hogan caught a swing pass in the flat near the goal line and was fighting for yards to the endzone when an unidentified object made its way onto the field. Unbeknownst to anyone at the time, it was the first-ever dildo known to be tossed onto an NFL field of play.

The referee standing by the member analyzed the situation, and moved it the best way he knew how – handsfree.
The unnamed fan was appropriately given the shaft by Bills’ management, as he and a guest earned a lifetime ban from the stadium.

In an interview after the game, the fan said that the inspiration came from a 1970s porn stars-themed party that took place before the game. He took the leftover prop to New Era, wrote the name Brady on it, and let fly.
How’d he get that into the building?
the only bags you're allowed to bring into an NFL stadium are clear ones. so that dildo is either on full display or….. elsewhere.

“I wore two pairs of pants, so I put it in acting like I had a huge d–k,” he said. “I just put it in there and they didn’t even pat me down.”
Thankfully, there was some hygiene-based thought baked into the process, but that doesn’t guarantee they’ve all been as well-planned.
Lifetime Ban Acts as Incentive vs Deterrent
Once the ball got rolling, there was no stopping Bills nation. In 2017, it was described as a ‘beige’ object that made it to the sideline, and the hazmat team (yes, the hazardous materials team) was called in to whisk away the wang.
The Haz Mat crew appeared to wrap the cylindrical, beige-colored object in a towel before leaving for the tunnel. https://t.co/TIu7gQKOLr

Then last year, on Monday Night Football, no less, Bills fans blessed the team’s first appearance in over a decade the only way that the Bills can: launching three dildos onto the field.

This was even after Bills fans were warned via social media that there would be repercussions for any sex toy toss.

While not every tosser was accounted for, another fan felt the wrath of a lifetime ban – an out of towner, no less.
Do the Dildos Fly on Sunday?
We only have a small sample size of the above average-size samples to go on. But if there is something we know, it’s that Bills fans are easily the top-five wildest fan bases in sports, and have to be the craziest in the NFL.
Bet the yes, and it’ll be a happy ending for your pocketbook.
The pick: Yes (-140)
