In Cincinnati, the Bengals shook off a 31-year playoff drought with a win over the Las Vegas Raiders, with Joe Burrow looking like the real deal in just his second pro season.

Josh Allen Beast Mode vs Patriots

Credit the Bills for creating the infrastructure, building a culture and assembling a roster, but make no mistake: Buffalo will go as far as Josh Allen will take them.

The Bills’ pivot has been a little uneven on the year, but there was a sense he was just waiting to unleash the full arsenal once the playoffs rolled around. It was an explosion Saturday night in upstate New York, as he threw for 308 yards and five TD passes.

Allen also showed the dual-threat ability that makes him arguably the most dangerous football player in the postseason. He had 63 yards on five carries at the half.

The scary part was that he did it within the confines of the offense. The Patriots aren’t slouches on defense, but anything they threw at him, Allen had the counter.

The Bills had four possessions in the first half, and the Bills scored touchdowns on every single one. Buffalo piled up 300 yards of offense, averaging 9.1 yards per play. That essentially put the second half into extended garbage time.

For good measure, Buffalo set an NFL record, scoring touchdowns on seven straight possessions. They only possession they didn’t score was their final one, with Mitch Trubisky in to run the victory formation.

Bills All-Around Excellence

Buffalo’s defense did some heavy lifting as well, making life miserable for rookie pivot Mac Jones. Micah Hyde produced one of the best interceptions of the season, one of two Bills’ picks on the day.

After New England ran the ball at will in a Monday Night win in Week 13, finishing with 222 rush yards on 46 carries, Buffalo limited the Pats to 89 yards on 20 carries, daring the rook to beat them through the air.

Aside from Allen, Buffalo continues to balance things out with a run game powered by Devin Singletary. He rushed for 58 yards and two touchdowns in the first half, finishing with 81 yards on 16 totes.

The Bills entered the playoffs with +750 odds, but they’ve moved to +500, tied with the Chiefs for the second-best odds, with both looking up at the Packers.

There’s still a ton of football left to play, but the Bills are going to be a problem, and a wager you should definitely consider.

Bengals Break Through vs Raiders

Amazingly, text messaging wasn’t even a thing the last time the Bengals won a playoff game in 1991. In fact, only four players on the current roster were alive when it happened.

Cincinnati is young, loaded with talent and armed with a franchise QB that’s probably years away from his prime. And yet. they’re just a win away from the AFC title game.

Joe Burrow was 24-for-34 for 244 yards and two TD passes in his postseason debut, and the Bengals held on to beat a resilient Raiders’ squad 26-19.

There are still questions, however. Their defense allowed Derek Carr to throw for 310 yards, and while they did register three sacks, those were the only QB hits they had the entire game.

Their run game was also stuffed, with Joe Mixon running for 48 yards on 17 carries.

Cincy started the day with +1900 Super Bowl odds, and they’ve jumped to +1200. This will likely be the largest figure you’ll see them at, as if they win these odds will shorten dramatically. They’d be a final four team by then.
