  • In the Indianapolis Colts vs Dallas Cowboys inactive and injury reports for Sunday Night Football, both teams have issues in the secondary
  • For the Colts LCB Kenny Moore II (shin) is out
  • Both RCB Trevon Diggs (illness) and SS Jayron Kearse (shoulder) are listed as questionable for Dallas

You could say that the primary injury concerns for the Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts heading into their Week 13 Sunday Night Football game are secondary in nature.

The Colts will be without starting right cornerback Kenny Moore II. He’s out with an shin injury. Meanwhile, one-half of the starting Dallas secondary – RCB Trevon Diggs (illness) and SS Jayron Kearse (shoulder) – are listed as questionable for the game.

Cowboys Double Digit Home Favorites

Oddsmakers are going with Dallas as a 10.5-point home favorite over Indianapolis in the Colts vs Cowboys picks. Dallas is 6-1 straight up in the last seven games against Indianapolis.

Kickoff at AT&T Stadium is set for 8:20 pm ET on Sunday, December 4. NBC is carrying the broadcast of the game. The Cowboys are getting the majority of public support on the moneyline and point spread in the Cowboys vs Colts betting splits.

Indianapolis Colts Injury Report

Moore is one of two starters who are out for the Colts.  Right Tackle Braden Smith (illness) also won’t be playing.

Colts head coach Jeff Saturday is describing Moore’s injury as being a week-to-week situation. That could mean this will be the first of several games he’ll be missing.

Expect either Dennis Kelly or Matt Pryor to be starting at right tackle for the Colts in place of Smith. Isaiah Rodgers or Tony Brown will be stepping into more prominent roles in the Indianapolis secondary without Moore.

However, Rodgers is listed as questionable with a knee injury. That’s presenting a double problem for the Colts, because he’s also the team’s #1 kickoff return specialist. Listed as questionable due to a shoulder injury, tight end Jelani Woods was a full participant in practice this week. He caught eight passes for 98 yards in last week’s MNF loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dallas Cowboys Injury Report

Dallas lists four starters with an injury designation of questionable. Besides Diggs and Kearse, WLB Anthony Barr (hamstring) and WR Michael Gallup (illness) are also questionable.

Backup defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna (knee) is also questionable. All of them have been limited in practice this week.

Barr has missed the past three games. He last played October 30 against the Chicago Bears. The Cowboys appear to be inclined toward giving him another week to rest his ailing hamstring. Damone Clark is starting in Barr’s place.

Left defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) was a full participant in practice this week and removed from the injury list. Right tackle Terence Steele missed some practice time this week due to personal reasons. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy indicated that Steele would be playing against the Colts.

How Could Injuries Affect Colts vs Cowboys Lines?

Perhaps the biggest news for the Colts this week is taking into account which players are no longer carrying any injury designations. For the first time in weeks, Indianapolis is showing all four of the club’s defensive line starters as being injury free.

In last week’s loss to the Steelers, LDE Kwity Paye (ankle) was missing his second straight game, while RDE Yannick Ngakoue (back) and LDT DeForest Buckner (ribs/illness) were limited in their game participation. None of them are showing up on this week’s injury list.

SLB Zaire Franklin was out for the MNF game with an illness, but he’s also completely healthy for this game. Starting TE Kylon Granson is also back after missing last week’s game due to illness.

Gallup is coming off a Thanksgiving game against the New York Giants in which he achieved season highs in targets (eight) and receptions (five). There’s uncertainty about his game status. In that case, certainly Dallas WR CeeDee Lamb is worthy of over consideration in receptions and receiving yardage in the Colts vs Cowboys player props.

Kearse will be a game-time decision. Diggs, though, was indicating toward the end of the week that he was feeling much better and expecting to be playing.
