Best Passing Props to Bet for Divisional Round Playoffs

1) Josh Allen over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-150); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook

Here’s the line on Josh Allen touchdown passes in his last seven games: 3, 3, 2, 4, 1, 2 and 2. That’s multiple TDs in six of seven games. On the season as a whole, he’s thrown multiple scores in 12 of 17 games.

2) Trevor Lawrence over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-135); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook

In the last meeting between these teams, Trevor Lawrence threw for 259 yards and two scores. Last week, he started off poorly to say the least against the Chargers, but in their wild comeback, Lawrence threw for four touchdowns and 288 yards. He did though, also have four interceptions.

It took an incredible comeback to make it here for Jacksonville. And now going up against a rested Chiefs team in KC will surely see them chasing this game at some point. It’s likely Lawrence is forced into many passing situations and will have the opportunity to rack up some passing stats.

The Chiefs aren’t anything special against the pass ranking 18th in yards allowed and have given up multiple passing touchdowns to the likes of Russell Wilson and Davis Mills in recent games.

3) Daniel Jones under 216.5 passing yards (-115); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook

Daniel Jones is coming off 301-yard game last week. He’s now thrown for over 300 yards in two of three games. But … both of those came against the Vikings who rank 31st in passing yards allowed per game. I think those recent showings may be inflating this total when you look back at his body of work this season. It’s already come down from 223.5.

In 17 games played, Jones would’ve exceeded a passing yardage prop total of 216.5 only five times. Two came against the Vikings as mentioned. Another came against the Lions who ranked just above the Vikings in yards allowed (30th), once was against the Cowboys and he finished just over that total with 228 yards. And the final time was a 217 yard game.

In his last meeting against Philly, Jones was 18/27 for 169 yards. Bet Jones to go under his Divisional Round passing prop number.

Elijah Mitchell (SF) 30.5 (Ov -110 | Un -120) 36.5 (Ov -110 | Un -120)

Travis Etienne is lined at 70.5 rushing yards in his NFL player props, the highest total in the Divisional Round.

Best Rushing Props to Bet for Divisional Round Playoffs

1) Miles Sanders over 67.5 rushing yards (-115); risk 1 unit DraftKings Sportsbook

The Giants were 27th in rushing yards allowed during the regular season giving up 144.2 yards per game.

In two meetings with the Eagles this season Miles Sanders rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns in the first game, but only 33 yards in the second. Sanders split carries (11, 9, 5, 9) though with Boston Scott, Kenneth Gainwell and Jalen Hurts respectively the second meeting. He had the bulk of the carries in the first meeting, with 17 of 31.

Sanders has fallen under this total in four straight games, but in two of those he had 61 and 65 yards on the ground and against a weak Giants’ run D, we’ll back him to get the few extra yards to top this total in our NFL player props.

2) Travis Etienne over 94.5 rushing and receiving yards (-115); risk 1 unit DraftKings Sportsbook

In the Wild Card Round, Travis Etienne had 109 rushing yards and 12 more yards receiving. Etienne has eclipsed the 100-yard mark on the ground in three of his past five games. He also regularly adds an extra few yards through the air. Recently he’s finished with 12, 17, 32, 29 and 24 receiving yards.

Add that to his rushing totals and he’s combined for 121, 34, 140, 112 and 127 combined yards in his past five games.

The Chiefs are decent against the run (8th), but still give up an average of 107.2 YPG. But defending running back catches have been a downside for them. Only Las Vegas and Jacksonville have allowed a higher average of running back receiving yards than Kansas City’s 48.6.

3) Jerrick McKinnon over 63.5 rushing and receiving yards (-115); risk 1 unit DraftKings Sportsbook

Jerrick McKinnon hasn’t been involved too much in the Chiefs’ running game of late, finishing with just 6, 4, and 7 rushing yards in his last three games. His receiving yardage hasn’t stood out much either with 0, 52, and 31 yards in those same three games. So he wouldn’t have exceeded this rushing and receiving prop in any of his past three games.

However, in the three games before those games mentioned, he finished with 52, 22 and 51 yards rushing and 70, 112 and 9 yards receiving. Meaning he would’ve cashed this prop in 2/3 games. It would’ve been in all three if you’d bet this prop earlier in the week at 59.5 yards before it moved up.

Which McKinnon will we see versus the Jaguars? Well if it’s anything like the one that had 56 yards receiving (but only 2 yards rushing) against Jacksonville earlier this season, it could be enough to go over this prop total. As mentioned in our Travis Etienne prop above, both the Jags and Chiefs struggle to defend passes to running backs. The Jags are second-worst in that category in the NFL giving up 48.8 YPG. Throw in any sort of rushing yards and we could have a winner in our Divisional Round player props.

Best Receiving Props to Bet for Divisional Round Playoffs

1) Travis Kelce over 79.5 receiving yards (-125); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook

When these teams met earlier in the season it was a 27-17 win for Kansas City. If anything similar happens this time, you would think Travis Kelce will feature heavily in the game plan. Kelce led all Chiefs’ receivers in that game with six receptions for 81 yards and a score.

The Jaguars allowed the third-most yards (1,066) to tight ends this season.

While the Chargers coughed up a huge lead to the Jags last week, on their way to building that lead, Justin Herbert found success going to his own tight end in Gerald Everett. Everett led Chargers receivers with six catches for 109 yards and a touchdown last week against Jacksonville.

Surely Mahomes will try to attack the Jags down the middle himself with plenty of throws to his big, reliable tight end.

2) Isaiah Hodgins over 45.5 receiving yards (-115); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook

Daniel Jones found Isaiah Hodgins on 8/9 catches for 105 yards and a score last week against the Vikings. The Eagles are first against the pass in yards allowed per game, so it’s unlikely Hodgins will find anywhere near as much space this week. However, he has emerged as a favorite target of Jones and has a touchdown catch in five of his past six games.

In the last three games he’s finished with receiving totals of 8/105, 4/42 and 8/89 in catches/receiving yards. He’s also had four or more catches in each of his last six games.

Among the top favorties to find the endzone in the Divisional Round props are McCaffrey, Kelce and Etienne.

Here’s who I like to find the endzone and why for my Divisional Round player props.

  1. Dawson Knox anytime touchdown (+180); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook: We cashed a Dawson Knox anytime TD prop last week at +200 odds. So we’re already playing with house money here for our Divisional Round TD props. But there’s no reason we can’t add to our profit backing Knox once again this weekend. Knox and Allen are dialed in right now, with the two connecting for a touchdown pass in five straight games.
  2. Ja’Marr Chase anytime touchdown (+130); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook: Ja’Marr Chase has ten combined touchdowns on the year between regular season and playoffs and he’s only played in 13 games. Last week he had 84 yards and a score against the Ravens and has now pulled down a TD pass in four of five recent games.
  3. Christian McCaffrey anytime touchdown (-150); risk 1 unit at DraftKings Sportsbook: Christian McCaffrey racked up 119 yards on the ground against Seattle last week but failed to find the endzone. Failed to find the endzone on the ground at least. He caught two passes out of the backfield and brought one in for a score. He now has a receiving TD in back-to-back games, despite having no rushing scores. But the man has a nose for the endzone. He’s cashed a TD prop in seven straight games with four rushing and four receiving in that time.
