Dak’s NFL MVP Odds Rising
Prescott’s NFL MVP odds improved the most after he rallied the Cowboys to a 35-29 victory over the New England Patriots in overtime in Foxboro on Sunday. His 35-yard touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb in OT was the game winner.
Prescott completed 35 of 51 passes for 445 yards and three TDs with one interception. That helped the Cowboys win their fifth straight game after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the season opener.

After sustaining a severe season-ending ankle injury last year in Week 5, Prescott has come back strong in 2021. He has 1,813 passing yards while completing 73.1% of his attempts and throwing 16 touchdown passes and four interceptions.
One potential red flag with Prescott, though, is he was in a walking boot after Sunday’s game. He felt pain in his right calf as he threw the winning touchdown pass, though the severity of the injury remains to be seen.
Who Needs Coaching?
Murray boosted his NFL MVP odds by helping the Cardinals roll to a 37-14 road victory over the Cleveland Brown. Arizona won even though coach Kliff Kingsbury and star linebacker Chandler Jones missed the game after testing positive for COVID-19.
Murray ensured that the Cardinals improved to 6-0, the franchise’s best start since 1974 when it was based in St. Louis. He tied a career-high with four touchdown passes while connecting on 20 of 30 attempts for 229 yards without being intercepted.

Jokingly, Murray said after the game he could freelance more without having Kingsbury on the sidelines reining him in.
After completing 64.4% and 67.2% of his passes in his first two NFL seasons, Murray has raised that percentage to 73.8 this season. He also has 1,741 yards, 14 TDs, and four picks.
Allen in MNF Week 6 Spotlight
Allen has a chance to become the favorite again as the Bills visit the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football.
The Bills (4-1) have won four in a row since being upset by the Pittsburgh Steelers at home in Week 1. Allen is completing just 62.3% of his passing attempts but has amassed 1,370 yards and 12 touchdowns with two interceptions.
Allen is also averaging 5.4 yards a carry.

The opportunity to compile some big statistics should be there as the Titans are allowing 26.0 points a game. Tennessee was also ranked 21st in pass defense among the 32 NFL teams entering the weekend.
Herbert Grounded
Herbert had one of his few bad days as a pro as the Chargers were drubbed 34-6 by the Ravens in Baltimore. That ended Los Angeles’ three-game winning streak and dropped it to 4-2.
The Ravens limited Herbert to 195 yards passing and one touchdown while intercepting him once. He connected on 22 of 39 passes.

The Chargers were held under 16 points for just the second time in 21 games since Herbert took over as the starting quarterback last season as a rookie in Week 2.
Herbert’s season totals in 2021 include a 65.4 completion percentage, 1,771 yards, 14 touchdowns and four interceptions. He is listed at +1200 in the NFL MVP odds.
Don’t Forget TB12
An MVP case can be made for Prescott, Murray, and Allen. However, none offer particularly good value at +400.
A better play would be to bet Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady at +1000 in the NFL MVP odds. Tampa Bay is 5-1, and the 44-year-old Brady is rolling along with 2,054 passing yards and 17 touchdown tosses.
