This Thursday Night Football matchup didn’t look like the best matchup at the start of the season. It looks a little worse today as both teams are fielding backup quarterbacks. Mitch Trubisky is now in the starting role for Pittsburgh with Kenny Pickett injured, and Bailey Zappe is now under center with Mac Jones benched for New England. Still, we’ve dug deep and come up with our top Patriots vs Steelers same game parlay picks for TNF here.

Tonight’s Patriots vs Steelers same game parlay TNF SGP picks includes an Under, field goal props, plus player props on Mitch Trubisky, Jaylen Warren and Ezekiel Elliott. It comes in at +220 odds. Odds from Bet365.

Patriots vs Steelers SGP Picks: Alt Total Under

These are the two highest Under teams this season with Pittsburgh seeing the most amount of games going Under at 10-2 and New England the second-most at 9-3.

New England’s last three games have been three losses by scores of 6-0, 10-7 and 10-6. That’s the first time since 1938 that a team has held their opponents to ten points or less three times and lost all three games.

Defensively though, the Pats have allowed just six points (257 total yards), ten points (220 yards) and ten points (264 yards) in these past three games.

Steelers games haven’t seen many points in recent weeks either as they lost 24-10 last week, won 16-10 the game prior and lost 13-10 before that.

Scoring-wise, New England scores just 12.3 PPG (32nd) while Pittsburgh is only scoring a shade higher at 16.0 PPG (28th). On defense, both are much stronger with Pittsburgh being sixth in PPG allowed (19.1) and New England 15th (21.2).

If you were to combine the Over/Under records of these two teams when looking at NFL team trends, they would be 19-5 to the Under. They very well could go Under the 30.5 points this game is lined at in the NFL odds. The public is loving the Over in the Patriots vs Steelers public betting splits.

And that’s because 30.5 is incredibly low, the lowest total on an NFL game since 1993. So we’ll add some points in the alternate spread market and go Under 41.5 for our TNF SGP picks.

  • Patriots vs Steelers same game parlay picks: Alternate total under 41.5

Patriots vs Steelers SGP Picks: Mitch Trubisky Passing Yards

If Trubisky and the Steelers offense are looking to get on track this week, they may find more success versus the Pats’ 16th-ranked passing defense, versus their third-ranked run defense.

Trubisky hasn’t seen much action this year but if we look at last year he played in seven games and finished with 168 yards or more in five of those seven, plus finishing with 144 one other week. Now those aren’t good numbers by any means. He only went over 200 yards twice (207 and 276), but because the expectations are so low here, we can include Trubisky to hit 150+ passing yards and still get a reasonable price in our Patriots vs Steelers picks.

When you combine the passing yards of Trubisky and Pickett from last week the Steelers passed for 187 yards. Looking back at the past nine Patriots’ games, opposing QBs have thrown for 183 yards or more in each game, while averaging 253.6.

  • Patriots vs Steelers same game parlay picks: Mitch Trubisky 150+ passing yards

Patriots vs Steelers SGP Picks: Jaylen Warren Rushing & Receiving

It’s unlikely we see the Steelers opening up the playbook and letting Trubisky chuck the ball around the field. so we should see a healthy dose of both Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris. Although, Harris has been dealing with an injury this week. If he’s limited at all, it’s even better for our Warren pick here.

Warren’s rushing yardage has been 59, 49, 129, 101 and 88 in his last five games. His receiving yardage has not been what is was earlier this season but he’s still had 1-4 receptions in each of his past six games.

If you were to combine his rushing and receiving stats he would’ve gone over 50 yards in each of those past five games. Let’s include Warren in the rushing & receiving market for our Patriots vs Steelers props.

  • Patriots vs Steelers same game parlay picks: Jaylen Warren 50+ rushing and receiving yards

Patriots vs Steelers SGP Picks: Ezekiel Elliott Rushing Yards

Even in a time-share with Rhampndre Stevenson, Ezekiel Elliott’s rushing yards have been 52, 46 and 54 in the last three games. With Stevenson on the Patriots vs vs Steelers injury report after leaving last week’s game with an ankle injury, Zeke will be getting more touches this week.

Considering the Steelers are 21st in rushing yards per attempt allowed and 22nd in yards allowed, he should have a good matchup on TNF. Also, in five of the past seven Pittsburgh games, an opposing rusher has rushed for at least 61 or more yards against them, including Arizona’s James Connor who had 105 last week.

For our TNF SGP picks we’ll simply ask Zeke to hit 50 or more.

  • Patriots vs Steelers same game parlay picks: Ezekiel Elliott 50+ rushing yards

Patriots vs Steelers SGP Picks: Field Goal Totals

These teams both struggle to score and both play better defense.

The Patriots didn’t even sniff the red zone last week against the Chargers, but they did keep LA out of the red zone as well.

Neither teams scores much in the red zone this year either with New England 16th and Pittsburgh 29th in red zone touchdown scoring percentage.

Steelers kicker Chris Boswell is 22/24 in field goal kicking this season and has kicked a field goal in each of his past 11 games.

Patriots kicker Chad Ryland is only 12/18 kicking this season and while he was 0-1 last week, he has still kicked a field goal in 5/6 and 8/10 recent games.

In a game where it looks like both teams will struggle to score points, it could come down to the kickers.

  • Patriots vs Steelers same game parlay picks: Over 1.5 combined field goals
