The National Football League’s only undefeated team takes to the gridiron on Sunday afternoon. Another NFL battle of the birds kicks off as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Arizona Cardinals.

Philadelphia enters this one as the top team in the NFL with a perfect 4-0 record. Quite simply, the Eagles have been the NFL’s most complete football team through four weeks.

On the flip side, Arizona beat up on the lowly Panthers 26-16 in Carolina last week.

This one kicks off from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona at 4:25 pm ET over on Fox. Check out all the Philadelphia Eagles vs Arizona Cardinals odds and our best picks for this match-up below.

Philadelphia Eagles Betting Trends

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is the story of the young NFL season. The 24-year-old signal caller has entered early MVP discussions after throwing for 4 touchdowns and adding 4 more on the ground for a dominant Philadelphia Eagles team. Following questions surrounding his accuracy throughout his career, Hurts has posted a career-high in completion percentage at 66%. In addition, the Oklahoma alumni paces the league in yards per attempt at 9.1. After entering the year as underdogs to win their division, the Eagles are now favored to win the NFC.

The addition of wideout A.J. Brown has taken this offense to new heights. Brown and second-year receiver Devonta Smith have been explosive, and allowed Hurts the opportunity to shine. A stout offensive line and plenty of time to throw from the pocket hasn’t hurt either.

On the other side of the ball, Philadelphia’s defense has controlled football games. The Eagles defense ranks top 10 in both opponent yards and points allowed per game. This unit ranks 2nd in turnovers created per game at 2.5 and third in sack percentage at 9.7%. Philadelphia also leads the league in total sacks with 16. Paced by free-agent signee Haason Reddick, the Eagles have continually harried and harassed opposing quarterbacks into mistakes. Philadelphia will be chomping at the bit for Sunday afternoon, as a vulnerable Cardinals offensive line awaits.

Arizona Cardinals Betting Trends

Arizona has once again found itself in the middle of the NFL pack. Behind the electrifying skills of Kyler Murray, the Cardinals have pulled out hard-fought victories over the Raiders and Panthers. However, this team has warts all over it.

Murray has benefited from the off-season trade that brought fellow Oklahoma Sooner Marquise Brown to Arizona. That being said, he’s missed the bullying presence of DeAndre Hopkins. None of the other Cardinals receivers have done anything of note this season, as veteran A.J. Brown, Rondale Moore, and Greg Dortch have failed to impress. Additionally, injuries have hampered the play of bruising back James Conner. After scoring 18 touchdowns last year, the former Pittsburgh Steeler has scored just once through four games.

Moreover, the Arizona Cardinals defense has been horrendous this season. Arizona has to regret letting pass-rusher Chandler Jones walk. The Cardinals rank dead last in sacks with just one through four games. On top of that, the Cardinals rank 23rd in passing yards surrendered, 25th in passing touchdowns allowed, and 24th in third-down percentage.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Arizona Cardinals Pick

Philadelphia hasn’t looked great in it’s previous trips to the desert. Maybe it’s the old east coast-west coast travel, but the Cardinals have had the Eagles number of late.

That being said, 2022 is a different story. This is a battle of teams headed in opposite directions. Philadelphia has looked like the best team in the league the last month and the favorite is 5-0 in the last five Philadelphia Eagles vs Arizona Cardinals matchups. We’re rolling with Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.

Pick: Philadelphia first half spread -3.5 (-105), Risk 1 Unit
