  • The Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints meet for the first time since last season’s controversial NFC Championship Game
  • The teams played twice last season, with each winning once
  • These are some of the best prop bets on Sunday’s game

As the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams clash on Sunday, it’s a certainty that the topic of pass interference will be raised.

The Saints and their fanbase still feel their trip to Super Bowl 53 was sidetracked when officials missed a blatant pass interference call on Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman in the late stages of the game.

However, that’s immaterial to today’s propositions. We’re here to discuss the best prop bets that are available in Sunday’s renewal of the Saints-Rams rivalry.

Prop #1 Drew Brees vs Jared Goff Passing Yardage

Most Passing Yards Odds
Drew Brees (Saints) -122
Jared Goff (Rams) -122

*Odds taken on 09/14/19.

Saints quarterback Brees passed for 364 yards and four touchdowns when the Saints beat the Rams 45-35 in Week 9 last season. However in the NFC Championship Game, he was limited to 249 yards through the air and two TD passes.

In both of those games, Goff got the better of the yardage battle over Brees. Goff passed for 297 yards in the 26-23 NFC Championship Game victory over New Orleans. And even in the 45-35 regular-season loss, Goff finished with 391 yards through the air.

Brees has gone under 300 yards passing in his last seven road games.

Pick: Goff to have more passing yards than Brees (-122)

Prop #2 Rams Malcolm Brown Total TDs in Week 2

Total Odds
Over 0.5 +120
Under 0.5 -160

Speculators pondering who would be the Plan B at running back for the Rams to enable Todd Gurley to rest his wonky knees were investing their future dividends in rookie Darrell Henderson. But in Week 1, the answer was Brown.

He scored two touchdowns as the Rams edged the Carolina Panthers 30-27. Brown made all but one of LA’s carries in the red zone during the game.

Gurley, who scored an NFL-leading 17 rushing TDs last season, didn’t get a single touch in the red zone. The lone carry that wasn’t made by Brown went to Henderson.

Pick: Over 0.5 (+120)

Prop #3 Malcolm Brown Total Rushing Yards In Week 2

Total Odds
Over 47.5 -105
Under 47.5 -135

Brown gained 53 yards on 11 carries as the Rams beat the Panthers, averaging 4.8 yards per carry.

He went over 47 yards just once in 12 games last season, and twice in 11 games during the 2017 campaign.

The load was split almost down the middle in the season opener. Gurley made 14 carries during the game.

Pick: Over 47.5 yards (-105)

Prop #4 Alvin Kamara to Have 1 Rushing TD and Saints to Win

Outcome Odds
Alvin Kamara To Have a Rushing TD And Saints Win +127

Double threat Christian McCaffrey of Carolina shredded the Rams for 209 yards last week. Now they face another dangerous run/pass combination in Saints running back Alvin Kamara.

New Orleans was 7-1 last season when Kamara ran for a touchdown. The Saints were 5-0 when he ran for a TD in a road game.

The team has only lost two road games when Kamara rushed for a TD. However, one of those setbacks was a 26-20 loss at the Rams in Week 11 of the 2017 season.

Pick:  Kamara to have a rushing TD and Saints win (+127).

Prop #5 Rams Cooper Kupp To Have 80 Yards Receiving

Outcome Odds
Cooper Kupp To Have 80 Yards Receiving +171

The Rams lost sophomore wide receiver Kupp to a torn ACL last year at midseason. He returned to action in Sunday’s opener against the Panthers and pulled in 46 yards receiving. But Kupp has saved some of the best work of his career for the two games he’s played against the Saints.

In 2017, he caught eight balls for 116 yards in a game against the Rams in LA. Last season, he snared five passes for 89 yards and a TD in the regular-season meeting with the Rams.

Pick: Kupp to have 80 yards receiving (+171)
