Drake Bet $1.15 Million on the Chiefs

On February 9, Drake posted on his Instagram that he “can’t bet against the Swifties”. He has $1.15 Million on the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl and go back-to-back. This bet has +104 odds, so it would win $1,196,000 and give Drake a payout of $2,346,000.

Chiefs bettors may be worried about this bet due to the “Drake curse”. Many on the internet like to point out the times when Drake has lost big bets. For example, he was on Alabama in the 2019 National Championship against Clemson, where the Crimson Tide went on to lose 44-16. Even if it is not a bet, Drake’s presence can cause a “curse”. In 2019, he purposely wore a 76ers jersey when they were playing his Toronto Raptors in the playoffs. That was the game where Kawhi Leonard hit the game-winning shot for Toronto.

To give Chiefs bettors some hope, Drake also bet on Kansas City in the Super Bowl last year, and that worked out for him.

$1 Million Bet on 49ers Moneyline

The biggest Super Bowl bet so far came in on January 30 at Caesars Sportsbook. The online sportsbook reports that a bettor placed a one million dollar wager on the 49ers moneyline at -120 odds. A successful wager would net a profit of $833,333 if you were to run that through a Super Bowl betting calculator.

Million-dollar bets are not rare for the big game, but this wager came in earlier than normal. For example, last year there was a million-dollar bet on Eagles moneyline, and it came in one week before the game kicked off. This 49ers wager came in well before the February 11 kickoff.

Super Bowl favorites are 37-19 (66%) all time on the money line in the Super Bowl, so this bettor is hoping that this trend continues this year. Caesars opened their Super Bowl odds with the 49ers at -130 on the moneyline. The odds shortened to -125 and then to -120 before returning to the current odds of -130. This wager did not have an impact on the betting line.

$1 Million Bet on San Francisco

Just hours before kickoff, BetMGM reported a $1 Million Super Bowl bet on 49ers ML at -130 odds. This bet would win $769,230.77 if the 49ers beat the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

$1 Million Bet on the Chiefs

The largest Super Bowl bet on the Chiefs came in on the day of the big game at Circa Sportsbook. The bet is on Kansas City to cover the spread against the 49ers. The majority of the big bets have come in on the 49ers, but this bettor believes in the Chiefs.

This bet would win $909,090.91.

$1 Million Super Bowl Bet on 49ers -2

On the morning of the big game, another $1 Million bet on the 49ers was reported at Fantatics Sportsbook. This time it was on the spread instead of the moneyline. This big Super Bowl wager would win $909,090.91 if San Francisco covers the spread.

This bet follows the trend that the winner of the Super Bowl normally covers the spread as well. The team that wins the game is 48-7-2 against the spread. This bettor is hoping that this trend will continue on Sunday.

Large Super Bowl Bet on 49ers -2

On February 9, Caesars Sportsbook reported that a bettor just placed $668,181 on 49ers -2 against the Chiefs on Sunday. This is the largest Super Bowl bet on the spread that has been reported so far. 49ers -2 has -110 odds, so this bettor has a potential payout of $1,275,618.25.

This is not only a risky wager due to the amount of money, but NFC teams have struggled in the Super Bowl of late, especially when favored. The NFC is just 1-4 in the last five Super Bowls where the NFC team was favored. NFC West teams have not been much better. The AFC is 7-2 in the last nine Super Bowls featuring an NFC West team.

$600K Bet on San Francisco

San Fransisco got another big bet on them just days away from the Super Bowl. This $600,000 wager was accepted by DraftKings Sportsbook and has a potential payout of $1.1 Million.

Despite this large Super Bowl bet, the 49ers remain -120 on the moneyline days ahead of the big game. This is the eighth Super Bowl that San Francisco has been involved in in franchise history. The 49ers have won five of them, but have not won since the 1994 Super Bowl. This bettor is hopeful that San Francisco will get their sixth title this weekend.

$540K Wager on Chiefs Alternate Spread

A bettor at Fanatics Sportsbook moved the line for his big Super Bowl bet. This bettor got -180 on the Chiefs to cover an alternate spread of 4.5 points. This allows the Chiefs to lose by a field goal or even by four points, and the bet will still win. Common scores such as 21-17, 24-20, and 35-31 make this alternate spread a much safer bet than the current spread of two points.

This bet has a potential payout of $840,024.

$500K Bet on the 49ers

Another big bet came in on the 49ers to win the Super Bowl recently at Caesars. A bettor put $500,000 on 49ers moneyline at -125 odds. This wager was reported on February 7.

The odds moved slightly since the $1 Million bet was placed last week, so this bettor got -125 odds instead of -120. San Francisco is now -130 on the moneyline at Caesars, but the 49ers remain two-point favorites against the Chiefs on Sunday.

Yet Another $500K Bet on the 49ers

The big Super Bowl wagers continue to come in on San Fransisco. DraftKings confirmed that they received a $500,000 bet on 49ers moneyline at -125 odds. This wager would profit $400,000, giving this bettor a potential $900,000 payout. The odds remain the same at DraftKings despite taking this large Super Bowl bet.

Big bets continue to come in on San Fransisco.

$250K Super Bowl Bet on San Francisco

The largest Super Bowl bet reported from BetMGM is a $250,000 wager on the 49ers to cover the spread against the Chiefs. Many large bets are coming in on the moneyline, but this wager is on the spread. This bettor needs the 49ers to beat the Chiefs by more than to claim a $477.373.73 payout.

$200K Bet on Brock Purdy

A bettor at Caesars Sportsbook placed a big Super Bowl bet on Brock Purdy to win MVP. The wager is +240 odds, so this bettor has a potential payout of $680,000 if Purdy wins Super Bowl MVP. This is the largest reported bet on the Super Bowl MVP market.

Ten of the last 14 Super Bowl MVPs have all been quarterbacks, so this bet follows that trend. If the 49ers win, Purdy will likely be the MVP. Running back Christian McCaffrey has similar odds to Purdy, and is the most likely to win MVP if the 49ers win and Purdy is not the MVP. Cooper Kupp was the last non-quarterback to win Super Bowl MVP, and he put up a stat line of eight catches, 92 yards, and two touchdowns. If the 49ers win, Purdy is still the likely MVP choice, but San Francisco does have plenty of talent on the offensive side to potentially swoop in and win the award.

$200K Bet on Chiefs Moneyline

On February 6, the biggest Super Bowl bet on the Chiefs came in at FanDuel Sportsbook. The public money bets on the Super Bowl have been on Kansas City, but there has yet to be a bet of this caliber. This bet was locked in with +110 odds, so the bettor would win $220,000 if the Chiefs go back-to-back. Kansas City’s moneyline odds at FanDuel remain at +110.

Underdogs have gone 16-6 against the spread in the last 22 Super Bowls, and this bet follows that trend.

$100K Bet on the Coin Toss

Looking at more public money on the Super Bowl, Caesars Sportsbook reported that a bettor placed a $100,000 wager on the coin toss at the Super Bowl being tails at -105 odds. The bet would profit $95,000.

There is a saying that goes “Tails never fails”, and this bettor is hoping that is true in Super Bowl 58. The coin toss landed on tails in last year’s Super Bowl, but was heads the two years prior. In fact, the coin toss has landed on tails in seven of the last ten Super Bowls. Both heads and tails remain at -105, so this wager did not affect the odds.
